Gus:
As his best friend ran past him, the reality of the situation hit Gus. He realised what his awful brother had done to Night and couldn't contain his anger.
He ran over to his brother and pushed him as hard as his small body could manage. His adrenaline and anger must've added to his strength as he managed to knock his muscular brother to the ground.
"How could you do THIS!" Gus screamed as tears started flowing from his eyes.
"I hate you! I hate you!" He shouted in his brothers face before rushing to find Night and hoping he hadn't gone out onto the street in the middle of the night.
Luckily he heard Night in his bedroom, the sounds of sobbing freezing Gus right before he entered through the bedroom door.
"Night, I don't know what happened, but I'm here, okay?" Gus tried his best to reassure his friend that he was on his side no matter what.
Gus ensured his door was locked and then he went over and wrapped his arms around Night, hugging him tightly.
"Let it out. It's okay. Let it all out. And when - I mean if - you're ready, you can tell me. I'm on your side no matter what."
Night just continued to cry, overwhelmed by what had happened but grateful to his friend for being with him. His brain struggled to completely grasp the situation but his body was in flight or fight mode. In order to calm himself down as much as possible, Night hugged Gear as tightly as possible, sobbing his little heart out.
Gear:
After Gus ran out of the room, the realization of what he had done, dawned upon Gear.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" He shouted, as he frustratedly pushed his hair back with both hands.
He took a deep breath and walked towards Gus's room. He currently had no idea what he was doing or why, but for some reason, the whole situation evoked a feeling from him that he had never experienced before. He couldn't describe the feeling, all he knew was that it was a fear, a fear of something.
Gear tried the handle, twisting the door nob with so much force that the whole door rattled.
"Gus, open up! Let me explain!" Gear tried to convince his brother to let him in, but honestly he had no explanation, except for the fact that he was horny. But that was what he felt before. Right now, he was as far from that feeling as possible.
When his continuous pleading for the door to be opened were met with silence, Gear banged his fist on the door before tiredly resting his forehead on it.
After taking a couple deep breaths in and out, he went back to his room, locked the door, and sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the floor with his head in his hands.
The next morning at around 5am - Gear:
Gear hadn't slept at all last night. He kept thinking and thinking about what he was feeling last night, and then why he felt those things.
After several hours of nothing but being lost in his own thoughts, Gear came to the conclusion that he had messed up.
He didn't know why he felt this way towards Night, but for someone, Night had evoked true feelings from him, something no one had ever been able to do.
As he thought about his time with Night, he had realised that whenever he was around him, he picked up on the little expressions Night made, or how he would fidget with fingers when he was nervous, or the light in his eyes when they looked at each other. And he loved every single trait.
The more he thought, the more he began to feel his heart beat speed up. He liked Night. And not just in a sexual way. He liked Night for who he was... He wanted to be with Night.
That night, he had simply done what he would have with any other person he was interested in, but that was because he hadn't picked up on the extent to which he liked Night.
Feeling stupid and guilty, and overall like a shitty person, after hurting someone he was starting to care about - actually no, he had cared for Night since the start - Gear wished he could erase last night and try again.
He vowed to himself, he would make it up to Night and get him to love him again.
He couldn't let go of the only person who potentially had the ability to heal his dead and rotting heart.
"Night, I won't - no - I can't let you go." Gear whispered to himself, as he got up to clean himself up and prepare to approach Night. He hoped to God, Night would be able to forgive him. Hoping was all he could do.
