"Um...Day, can you let go of me now?" Brick asks, as Day still had his arm wrapped around Brick's waist, and was staring deeply into Brick eyes with a saddened look.

Brick's voice snapped Day out of his thoughts and he quickly, but gently, pushed Brick away and cleared his throat, feeling embarrassed.

"Come on, lets get some food." Day says, gesturing Brick to leave the room.

"You can take a seat at the table," Day told Brick, as he prefers not having other people in the kitchen when he was cooking.

Night was the only exception.

As Day began cooking, Brick sat down. He subconsciously started staring at Day, taking this chance to really observe the man.

And there was a whole lot to observe, if you know what I mean.

Brick watched the way Day tucked some hair behind his ears, as he was mixing and stirring. When he began chopping up some vegetables, Brick couldn't help but stare at Day's forearms, which were covered in tattoos. He gulped for some reason and wondered, how is he so hot?

The thought snapped Brick back to his senses and he immediately looked away, staring now at his hands which were in his lap.

Okay, Brick. Do I like this scary man? No, I don't!

Then why does he make me feel so nervous but also excited whenever he is near me? Why do I keep noticing little things about him? And why is everything he does so attractive? Brick questions himself.

After a few seconds of blankness in his mind, Brick's thoughts wander away, out of his control.

I don't like him, I'm just attracted to him. Brick says to himself, resolutely.

I'm just attracted to him, nothing else... Wait, what?

Oh my god, I'm attracted to Day!

Brick thought to himself, suddenly feeling super confused at the confession but also excited.

It was that feeling you get when you realize, you are attracted to someone and this is before they know anything so you feel there is hope. It was this giddy nervousness that made Brick start smiling to himself, embarrassed but also slightly proud of being able to admit it, as Day was far from his normal type.

Sighing, he tells himself, "You know, there is no way you can top that guy." He accidentally says it out-loud, causing Day to look up. Luckily Day didn't hear what he had said.

"Did you say something?" Day asks, curious as to why he had spotted the young man smiling to himself.

"No, it was nothing." Brick says nervously.

They go back to their comfortable silence and Day keeps cooking.

Unbeknown to Brick, Day had actually been thinking about him as well.

While Brick was trying to sort himself out, Day was doing the same.

When they had left the room, Day had wanted to get right into cooking to distract himself from the mental confession he had made inside the room.

As he began cooking, Day relaxed and subconsciously started thinking about Brick again.

Why do I feel pain when he feels pain? I should hate him, no? On paper he seems like an awful disgusting human. So why does he seem so sweet and almost innocent in person? Why is he so shy... and weak around me?

And why do I love that? Why do I like the fact that I have an affect on him?

Day questions himself, beginning to feel antsy by the emotions rising.

Come on, Day. Don't be dumb. You know exactly why.

Day thinks, mocking himself.

I know, I know...It's because I want to sleep with him. Day finally confesses in his mind.

I - I want to see his body under mine.

I want to see his face while we do it.

I want to hear him moan.

Day admits, suddenly feeling a little aroused at the thought.

He quickly recognizes where is brain was going and shakes his head to hopefully shake away the thoughts too.

Okay, but how do I get him to stay around me, without hurting him? Day thinks, starting to form a plan for the future.

Day's eyes light up as he suddenly gets an idea.

However, he is immediately distracted by Brick who mumbles something under his breath.

He asks what Brick had said but he wouldn't tell him.

[Time skip]

Finishing cooking breakfast, Day brings the plates of omelettes, stir fry vegetables, and rice to the table.

"Eat up." Day says, with a kind smile.

"Thanks." Brick mumbles a quick thank you and begins digging in.

Brick's eyes light up at the taste and his head shoots up to look at Day.

"This is amazing!" Brick says, causing Day to laugh at the adorable and wholesome reaction.

"Thanks. I've been cooking since I was a teenager." Day says. He doesn't know why he felt the need to add the last bit of information but it felt good to share something about himself, he realized, as it was something he rarely did.

They looked into each others eyes for a few more seconds before Brick recognised that this was awkward and kept eating.

When they were done with their food, Day asks Brick if he can wash the dishes and then they can have a chat.

Brick agrees, feeling guilty about not helping out in the kitchen.

He struggles and it takes him almost 20 minutes to figure out how to properly wash two dishes and some spoons.

Day simply sits and watches, laughing at times.

He knew Brick was spoiled but he had no idea it was to this extent.

"At least he didn't argue about not wanting to do them." Day quietly whispers to himself with a small smile.

When Brick was done, Day says, "Let's talk on the couch."

Brick nods and they quietly sit down next to each other.

Day is the first to speak.

"I'll forgive you for hurting my brother." Day starts, causing Brick to quickly look up at him with bright eyes.

"...On one condition." Day finishes.

Brick, with a wary look on his face, asks, "What condition?"

"You have to be my personal assistant for 6 months." Day says.

"But I can choose to shorten...or extend that time, depending on if I think your forgiveness is deserved or not."

Day now leans back into the couch with a smug look on his face.

He turns his head to look Brick, who was still in shock, and says, "Your choice...It's either this, or I do to you, what you wanted to happen to my brother."
