I'm back! Sorry, it's a pretty short chapter but hey, a short chapter is better then no chapter at all. And I'm also sorry for the large break, I have a lot going on right now in my life. Thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoy. :)

Third Person P.O.V.

Pete was stunned, simply frozen.

He forced himself to take a deep breath in and then out, snapping himself back to reality as he continued up to the counter.

Niran greeted him and asked if he wanted his regular order, as Pete was a regular here. Pete politely said no and decided to order an iced latte with a pastry. He was originally only here for a coffee to go...but he couldn't help himself.

When Brick had started ignoring him, it almost crushed his heart.

He had never cared so much for someone who he knew so little about but Pete blamed it on the day they had met, when he had seen Brick at probably his most vulnerable.

Pete decided to tell the waitress that he was friends with the two men at the back and would join them.

His heart was pounding in his ears and he could feel the heat in his face but forced himself to remain calm and casual looking on the outside.

Pete was praying that Brick wouldn't be too angry with him, he had just missed his company so much...especially after his Dad had started to force him to go back to the office regularly. Pete had pretty much lost all his free time to work and could even barely meet up with friends, and it was draining him.

And Brick had a talent in lightening people's hearts.

Brick and Day didn't notice Pete until he was standing right at their table, too absorbed in each other.

"Brick?" Pete politely interrupted.

Brick's eyes widened at the sight.

He was not expecting to see Pete ever again...and honestly, he felt kind of guilty too for not reciprocating Pete's feelings.

"P-P'Pete. What are you doing here?" Brick tried to hide his shock and the shakiness in his voice, but alas, he always struggled in reigning in his emotions.

He knows he shouldn't have to...but there are times when it's useful, like in this situation.

Days eyebrows rise slightly and his smile straightens out, the only indications of his irritation and confusion.

"I decided to come here for some breakfast and saw you here with your friend, so I thought I'd join you. Is that okay?" Pete asked, silently praying Brick would say yes.

"Oh - uh." Brick looked between Day and Pete but as Day didn't show any major signs of disagreement, Brick thought, what's the harm in a friendly breakfast, and I can apologise too for ghosting him.

"Sure, take a seat." Brick answered Pete's prayers and Pete decided to sit next to Day so that he could talk properly with Brick, he didn't care about who Brick was sitting next to at all...not until.

"Boyfriend." Day says, his voice laced in irritation, as he scooches over.

"Huh?" Pete asks, confused.

"I am his boyfriend not friend. Who are you and how did the two of you meet?" Day answers. For some reason, even being around this other man was pissing him off.  Maybe it had something to do with the fact that this guy could not take his eyes off of Brick.

At this announcement, Pete freezes, again.

"What?" Was all Pete could say before he turned towards Brick with questioning eyes.

"Uh...yeah, this is my boyfriend, P'Day, and P'Day, this is P'Pete, a friend of mine." Brick answered for the both of them, purposely avoiding the topic of how they met.

Day noticed but decided it would be more fun to watch Brick squirm as he questioned him for the truth later on, rather than make a scene in public, so he let it go.

"So...how long have you two been together then?" Pete asked. He had an idea of where he wanted the conversation to go and needed to gently steer it in that direction.

"Um, a couple weeks." Brick answered, his mouth full, as they had started eating the food that had arrived.

He had no idea just how cute he looked in that moment, causing the two men opposite him to blush slightly.

"Was what happened that night because of a fight between you two?" Pete asked. He, on the other hand, did not care that they were in public.

At this, Day was visibly on edge.

And Brick, oh god please help me, was all he could think.
