//Quick note, I'm going to stop titling the chapters because I think it looks better this way...also, it's kind of hard to come up with interesting ones that aren't all the same.//
Third Person P.O.V.
"Uhh...it's nothing weird, I promise...just swear you won't tell Day?" Brick nervously said after Night had a confused yet suspicious - and maybe even scared - look on his face.
"Depending on what the deal is, I'll think about it." Night replied, making sure to show no agreement, so that he wouldn't end up lying or breaking his promises. He just wasn't that type of person.
"...Okay." Brick answered after a short pause.
"Umm...So I was just wondering if you wanted to know anything about Gear that you're too afraid or embarrassed to ask him? You can ask me all the questions you want in exchange for something." Brick said, feeling more and more confident the more he spoke because of how Night's face was lighting up at the proposal.
"Anything?" Night asked, so curious about so many things, and he was feeling so excited about this that he didn't even consider what the price would be for a second.
After Brick nodded, Night quickly asked, "What's the price?" Trying his best to act confident, indifferent, and smug - which must have worked, from Night's perspective - because Brick gulped before answering.
"See...I - I was just wondering if you could...answer my questions about Day." Brick blurted the last part out quickly before starting to walk away, convinced Night would say no for some reason.
Night couldn't help but smile at how easily this guy became shy...if he was being honest, it was one of the cutest things he had seen in a while.
Smiling fondly at the blushing man now walking away, Night ran up to him and pulled his arm, making him slow down and look at him.
"Sure, sounds like a good deal." Night said.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Brick smiled back at Night and they began walking again with both asking questions about things such as past lovers, longest relationships (although they discovered that neither Gear nor Day had ever actually been in a relationship before), and things like photos from when they were younger.
Basically it was things they knew the other person would never share with them due to embarrassment or the teasing that the younger men would face for asking such things.
They talked for as long as they could, forming a bond without even knowing, before they got closer to their group and changed the topic quickly to when they would swim and what activities they would do.
When Gear and Day saw them walking and talking together, they had both looked at each other in shock and confusion before smiling happily, glad that two of the people they cared about most were on good terms.
Although, Day had to admit, a guarded, logical, and heartless part of his mind was telling him to get his brother as far from Brick as he could. It was reminding him of what Brick had done to the same person that he was now happily talking with.
Day forced himself away from those thoughts and dug the anxiousness deep down...this would be something him and Brick would have to work through after the trip.
Everyone then began to take their luggage into the house, fighting over who got what room and who was sleeping with who.
It wasn't hard for Day or Night to choose who they would be sharing a room with and immediately went to grab Brick and Gear's hands, practically dragging them apart (as they were talking and catching up - mostly Gear teasing Brick again ) to the rooms they wanted.
Day opted for the room on the second floor, which had a massive floor to ceiling window facing out towards the ocean, a balcony with chairs and a little table to accompany it, as well as a very, very large shower in a bathroom the same size as his uni dorm room.
Brick blushed at his not so innocent thoughts, shaking his head and turning his attention back to the beautiful view, before eventually jumping onto the bed and sighing from comfort.
Little did he know that Day would jump on top of him and pin him down, smirking, as he leaned down and pressed his lips softly against Brick's.
The kiss was was nothing intense - almost loving - in a way that showed not sexual intent, but instead happiness and care.
Pulling back, Day smiled down at Brick who had the same look on his face before he rolled down and pulled Brick into a tight hug, his back now pressed against his chest as his hands wrapped around the slim man's waist.
They both watched the waves rise and crash, the gentle sound caressing their souls.
