After Day had left, Brick decided he should probably go now to get his stuff before Day can think of a task to give him.

As he gets up and is about to leave, he realizes, he should probably tell Day where he was going.

Looking around for something to write on, Brick finds sticky notes and a pen near the fridge.

That's cute. He must leave himself notes.

Brick imagines Day calmly writing to himself groceries that he needs to get, or small tasks, such as vacuuming the apartment, on the sticky notes and then putting them on the fridge. He finds the idea of a man such as Day doing that to be absolutely adorable and wholesome.

He quickly grabs the notes, writing on it that he was going home to get some stuff and would be back by around 2pm, as it was around 10 am now and he wasn't sure how long it would take him to pack, plus the traffic is really bad in the city.

Sticking the note onto the table, then remembering to take his phone, Brick leaves the apartment and calls a taxi for himself.

When he gets home, his parents are already in the shop, working. He decides its best that they don't see his bruises. Despite him coming back home all the time with bruises, they always managed to be worried...And he also doesn't want to have to lie in person, he is surprisingly really bad at it.

Quickly going into the house before anyone from the shop can see him, Brick goes into his room and packs several outfits, underwear, his toothbrush, hairbrush, hairdryer, a few pairs of shoes, all of his school related work, laptop, chargers, and moisturizer. He wasn't sure what Day had or didn't have.

As he was packing, Brick thought about what he would tell his parents. He went through around 10 or 15 different scenarios before deciding on the one he thought was best.

He stuffs everything into a gym bag, which already had his athletic wear in it, as well as a drink bottle, and checking the time and seeing that it was almost 1.30pm, he starts rushing out the door.

On his way out, he finds one of the employees he is close to and tells him to tell his parents that he is staying with a friend for a while because he is volunteering in the city and it would be inconvenient to go back and forth, as it is far away from their house. He told the guy that he would be doing it for around six months, but he will come back as often as he can.

Brick leaves before the worker has a chance to ask anything more, and quickly gets into a taxi.

The traffic was worse than he had expected, and Brick was now beginning to panic.

By the time he had finally reached the apartment, it was around 3pm.

He had no idea how Day would react.

Brick pressed the doorbell to the apartment. A few moments later, the door opened slowly.

There he was.

Day was standing there holding the door open, except his massive frame almost blocked out the entire door.

His face seemed calm, almost unbothered. But his eyes.

His eyes scared Brick.

In his eyes, Brick could see the rage and possibly another emotion, which he was struggling to pin point - was that disappointment, no it couldn't be.

There was a deathly silence that surrounded the two of them, and ever so slowly, Day moved out of the way, indicating Brick to go inside with a shake of his head.
