Third Person P.O.V.
It was now Tuesday, and they were leaving the next day early in the morning. Gear and Night decided to pack their things together because they were looking for any excuse to spend some time alone in peace...before their friends' teasing began again.
Gear was a little anxious when entering Night's house, a little worried - not scared - that his brother would be there. Luckily no one was home, although the look of disappointment on Night's face made him instantly regret feeling relieved.
"What's wrong?" Gear gently asks Night, walking up, closer behind the small man, interlacing both of their hands together and leaning forward to place his chin on Night's shoulder.
"Nothing...It's just that I haven't seen P'Day since everything that's happened and he has barely been replying to my messages and picking up my calls. Even though he said he has been busy lately, he has never not come home after a few days. I'm sure everything is fine and I'm just overthinking it." Night answers, finishing his sentence with a troubled sigh.
At first he wasn't going to say anything, but a loud huff on his shoulder told him that he would have a very grumpy boyfriend if he wouldn't even share little things like this. And once he started talking, Night felt like everything was spilling out of him at once. It was a nice feeling being able to share everything with someone else...but also very scary.
Hearing everything Night had said, Gear's face relaxed a little, and ignoring the slight jealousy he felt, he untangled their hands and spun Night around slowly before hugging him tightly and whispering, "I'm sure everything is okay...but if you're worried or feeling anxious, there is nothing wrong in simply talking to Day about this. I am one hundred percent sure all your worries will drift away if you just talk it out. Communication is key, right?" The last part causes Night to smile softly, and his hands tighten around Gear's torso as he buries his face into his boyfriend's chest.
They remain like that for a few minutes before Night becomes more aware of their position and clears his throat and says they should probably be packing right now, trying to hide the pinkness of his cheeks with his hand - which doesn't work - and quickly turning, walking towards his room.
As Night starts packing, Gear lays on his bed comfortably, watching his adorable boyfriend pack whatever he thought he might need for only two days - which was apparently a lot. Night would also occasionally ask how certain clothes looked on him and what Gear was thinking of wearing so they could match but not in an obvious way, and just little things like that.
As their conversation had drifted to who was coming, Gear asked Night if he wanted to invite his brother, and although Day had agreed for Night to go, Night hadn't thought that Day would enjoy being around so many people, so he said no. Then suddenly remembering, Night asked Gear if Brick was coming as well - since he was the only one who hadn't replied to their invite on the group chat they had made for this trip.
"No, the bastard hasn't replied to anyone's texts for over a day - but he's probably getting with some chick, so it's fine." Gear answered, honestly upset because he didn't like not being able to contact his friend but if he voiced his concerns, they would surely make fun of him - so he obviously changed the worry to irritation, resulting in his insulting of his best friend whenever he would disappear.
"Oh, maybe you could call him. I have a feeling P'Brick will be sad if no one asks him to come specifically even after seeing that he hasn't replied." Night says, not wanting any of Gear's friends to hate him or feel left out because Gear suddenly has a boyfriend.
"Hmm, you're right. He's more sensitive then he seems." Gear says with a little laugh, remembering how easily Four and him would tease Brick, or how easily he became flustered - but only around the two of them - as soon as someone else was in the picture, it was like he turned on a switch.
Gear sits up and calls Brick, "He should be up, it's almost lunch time." Gear mumbles to himself after no one answers.
But just as Gear was about to put his phone down, he saw a name flash and ringing start to sound; Brick must've just missed picking up the phone.
"What's up?" Brick asks immediately.
"Haven't you checked your messages, dumbass." Gear says, clearly annoyed because Brick's phone was clearly working fine but he hadn't replied to them and truth be told, Gear wanted to hang out with his friends as well as Night.
"What? No, jeez, sorry. Why?" Brick apologizes, admitting he was in the wrong, but decided that if Gear had called him, he might as well tell him over the phone now.
"We're going to the beach for two days, a bunch of the group is going and so are Night's friends - want to come? You can bring whoever you've been with for almost two days now" Gear says, back to teasing his friend.
"Umm, hold on." Brick says, his answer confusing Gear and causing him to wrinkle his face in confusion. Night looks at him with questioning eyebrows, but Gear just shrugs his shoulders. Brick had put him on hold and then disappeared for a few seconds before coming back to the call.
"Sure - and yeah - I'm bringing a plus one...you guys already know them but they don't want me to say who it is yet." Brick answers.
Now even more confused as to who this mysterious person may be, which irritates Gear, he roughly replies, "Whatever, as long as you're coming it's fine. We're meeting in front of my place tomorrow morning at 7, don't be late. Set your alarm for like 5am or something, otherwise I know you'll be late for sure."
"Haha, of course mum, I'll be on time, I swear." Brick says, unable to contain his laughter at the sudden display of honesty.
And with that, the call ended, Gear told Night exactly what was said, and then once Night was finished packing, they went to Gear's place and Gear packed his things, while it was Night's turn to relax.
Before they knew it, the day was over, and they were fast asleep; Night obviously sleeping in one of the guest rooms.
Before Night feel asleep, an odd thought dawned on him; that the night felt so peacful...it was almost as if a storm was brewing.
