Love Syndrome - Rewritten

Chapter 6: Frustrated

Gear and Night leave Gear's room holding hands. They take a deep breath before walking into the kitchen, where they could hear everyone talking. 

The room went silent as everyone turned to look at the two, Brick and Four with mischievous grins on their faces, while Gus was in shock and Day entering a state of rage. 

"Before you all say anything...Night and I are dating. We have talked and worked things out. And before you guys start snooping, it's none of your business what happened." Gear immediately states. 

"How is it not my business?" Day says, in a calm yet threatening voice. 

"P'Day, I'm sorry for causing you to worry - you too Gus - but P'Gear and I talked and all you need to know is that he has promised to change. Please, just be supportive of our relationship." Night asks his brother with a pouting face. 

This causes Day to feel frustrated as he can't say no to his brother, leaving him with inexpressible emotions. He slams his hands on the dining table that he was sitting at, as he stands up and leaves. As he is exiting the kitchen, he stops right next to Gear and says in a low voice, "You hurt my brother again and I'll make sure I torture you for the rest of your life. I will slowly and painfully kill every person you have ever loved, maybe starting with that small brother of yours."

Day wasn't bluffing, he had experience in this kind of thing in his last job, which he was forced to quit because of Night. 

"What did you say!" Gear says, sudden anger over taking him at the mention of hurting his brother. But Night stops him by gently grabbing his arm. 

"He is just worried because I was crying only a few hours ago because of how you hurt me, P'Gear." Night says. 

Gear immediately feels saddened by the events of the last 24 hours, and seeing this, Night gently kisses his cheek and says with a playful smile, "Don't worry about it, as long as you don't plan on hurting me again."  

Four and Brick go on to tease Gear and Night, while Gus keeps asking Night if he is sure he wants to be with his awful brother. Four feels the need to shut Gus up for them and so he simply walks over to him and starts teasing Gus to distract him. Or at least that is the excuse he tells himself in his mind. 

"This is why I was running to you last night, P'Gear, P'Four is being weird." Gus says, subconsciously calling Gear "P" again. 

Everyone just laughs a little at how oblivious Gus and Four are to their own feelings and they then begin making plans for the days left before university starts. They decide to go to the bar that their engineering group always visits, the next day...as they all wanted to rest for today and recover both mentally and physically. 

The next day at around 7 pm at the bar: 

Day had been making sure that Night texted him every 2 hours or so to update on what he was doing and how he was being treated. So far, it had been good, but Day knew better than to trust scum like him. 

So...when Day heard that they were going out for drinks, Day decided he would go to with his friends, but he wouldn't let Night know, as he wanted to hear for himself how his little brother was being treated. 

He had invited his friends, Neil, Fu, and his subordinate/friend Nan. They were currently sitting at a table near the one Gear's friend group always sat at, and Day knew this because he had ran a background check on him and all his friends. 

Day sat with his back to their table to insure that they wouldn't recognize him and they sat a few tables away but still close enough to over-hear their conversations. 

When Gear's group walked in, Day noticed that Night and Gear's younger brother - he had forgotten his name - were not with Gear and his two friends who were at the house that night. 

They sat down at their usual spot and started drinking and eating almost immediately. 

"Look at his face, all shiny and glowy after getting a boyfriend." Brick teased his friend. 

"Well it's all thanks to you, isn't it, that I have a boyfriend in the first place?" Gear answered back. 

This caused Day to tilt his head and raise his eyebrows. His friends were also listening to the conversation, and they too listened in as they were protective over Night as well, like older brothers. 

"Well, no. You were clearly into Night and he was into you, so I simply helped speed things up. Also, you owe me a free race." Brick said. 

"Hey, come on now! You're going to make me pay for you to race, do you know how expensive that is compared to a free stereo set?" Gear said, jokingly, he didn't actually care about how much it cost him. 

"Aye, aye, aye. The bet was getting him to sleep with you within 24 hours. It's well past that now." Brick said, unaware that other people had overheard this conversation and were now fuming. 

"Whatever, I don't care anymore. I'm not single, unlike you two losers." Gear mumbles with a smile on his face, and when he is done talking, Night and Gus show up. 

Day has to admit, that Gear was acting better than he thought, but right now he was pissed that Gear was thinking of hurting Night for a stereo set and that Brick had suggested this disgusting bet.

"This is going to be fun." Day says, his tone dripping with anger.
