September 2010

Aaliyah sat on her soon to be ex-girlfriend's bed in silence waiting for Lydia to explain.

"I don't expect you to understand." Lydia started.

"I don't understand." Aaliyah snapped.

Lydia took a breath to calm herself, she new Aaliyah hated her, but school was starting, no one could know that Lydia wasn't what she said she was. "I'm sorry. I just... I just don't like girls." She mumbled.

"Bullshit. You just don't want anyone else to know. Which I was fine with. I don't know why that means you have to go sleep with Jackson." Aaliyah bit her lip trying to hold back tears. "Do you not love me anymore?" Lydia didn't answer. "Don't tell me it's just so you can be popular." Lydia still didn't speak, to ashamed to defend herself. "You don't need him to be popular." Aaliyah stood up about to leave. "You're the smartest person I know, you should start acting like it." Aaliyah walked out of the Martins home leaving Lydia to herself.

She'd spend the next year doing everything she could to avoid her.
