It had been a week since the end of sophomore year for Aaliyah and her dad was still stuck on the same job he left for in January. She was able to convince her parents to let her visit him. She missed him, a lot. But mostly she wanted to get out Beacon Hills. She did her best to avoid Allison but it's almost impossible when they go to same school and attend the same classes.
Aaliyah did her best to focus on herself and her friends and family. She amped up her training incase the supernatural presence in Beacon Hills continued to go after her friends. She spent more time on-call with her dad and even learned a bit about the pack he was tracking and the bodies they were leaving behind. Aaliyah made it her mission to forget about Allison no matter what and she figured the best way to do that was to leave.
So now Aaliyah was getting off a plane at JFK in NYC. She looked through the crowd of people getting off the plane to see the crowd of people waiting to meet them. She pushed through people and maneuvered her way to the other side of the crowd until she finally laid eyes on her dad. He was still looking around for her. Once Nic found his daughter (who was walking towards him as fast as she could) his eyes lit up and he smiled.
Aaliyah ran up to her dad and wrapped her arms around him. His arms wrapped around her back and lifted her up off the ground. "I missed you, kid." He told her as he set her down.
"I missed you too." Aaliyah told him with a smile.
"Lets get your bags." Nic put his arm on his daughters back as he grabbed her carryon and lead her to the baggage claim.
