It had been two weeks since they stopped the Darach and Alpha pack and for the most part Aaliyah's life went back to normal. She went to school every day and came home every day. And because it was October every Saturday she'd watch a scary movie with her brother- something their dad came up with when she was 9 and they've continued it every year - Everything was back to normal for Aaliyah, just like she's wanted for a long time. She just didn't know how long it'd last, and everyday seemed like the clock was ticking closer to the next interruption.

Aaliyah walked down stairs carrying her backpack ready to eat breakfast and go to school. She sat down across from Liam at the kitchen counter and poured herself cereal. They both scrolled through their phones not saying a word to each other as they ate breakfast. Their uncle came in the room like he has been doing every morning to tell them to have a good day before he leaves. Aaliyah's begun to like the consistency Tommy's brought here. He's the only person there she's never fought with. She liked how easy it was to talk to him, she wished he would stay longer.

Tommy and Aaliyah sat of the latter's bed away from the rest of the household. "You wanted to talk?" Tommy asked after an uncomfortable bout of silence. He waited patiently for Aaliyah to work up the nerve to speak but it seemed she wouldn't until he did.

"Yeah." Aaliyah nodded rubbing her hands down her thighs as she let out a breath. "Um..." Aaliyah took another breath hesitating.

"Out with it kid."

"Okay. I've had this problem for a bit. I don't know how to deal with it or who to ask for a second opinion. But before I tell you have to promise not to get angry, to not tell anyone, and especially don't kill anyone." Aaliyah looked Tommy in the eyes waiting for an answer and hoping for the truth.
