It had been a few days since Aaliyah found out she was going to die and she spent that time trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. It might sound odd that a 16-year-old girl who's never really had much ambition suddenly wants to figure out her future after learning she won't have one. But she thought that if she acted like she wasn't going to die, then she won't.
Now that all of her friends knew, Aaliyah shut them down at every mention of her impending end. Scott seemed to think he could stop it, Stiles refused to even believe it, Allison wouldn't talk about it, Issac and Kira could never seem to relax around Aaliyah, and Lydia was kind enough to stop bringing it up after a long talk they had, but she was quite upset about it.
Aaliyah had started to accept it, she saw it, it's gonna happen. And there's nothing she can do. What more could she do with life anyways? She made friends, fell in love, killed a man(twice), and saved her town more than once. That's more than most 16-year-olds. That's more than most 30-year-olds.
Basically, Aaliyah had accepted her death, but she wasn't going to accept Stiles'. Which is all she's been worrying about since he's been in the hospital and she was stuck at school.
Aaliyah was putting her books into her locker when Allison approached her. "Hi." Aaliyah turned slightly startled by her sudden presence. Usually with her heightened hearing it was impossible to sneak up on her, but she was preoccupied.
"I have to show you something." Allison took Aaliyah's hand and led her to girls locker room where they could be alone.
