Hi my name is Kristen and I am 14, this is my story!

It all started when I was five. I had a 104 degree fever and was rushed to the hospital. When I got there I started having seizures and my parents were so scared. After tests and tests I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. The next year at 6 I kept getting lightheaded feeling. When I started kindergarten I was still having this happen but was scared to tell anyone. One day when the light headedness was really bad I started to feel dizzy and had a huge headache.

At recess I was really tired but I wanted to play tag. I don't remember much since this was so long ago but my teachers did. They told me I looked pale and tired, then while I was playing I passed out onto the ground outside. The teachers grabbed the nurse and took the kids inside. I was rushed to the ER and they ran more tests. This led to my diagnosis of POTS. At 6 years old I had pots and epilepsy but I wouldn't let that stop me. I was as athletic as I could be and fought every moment of it, and I still am. You might not understand what epilepsy or pots is so let me explain.

-Pots-
Pots is a disorder that causes my heart rate to increase randomly. This makes me feel dizzy and causes me to faint.

-Epilepsy-
epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes me to have seizures. there is no known cure but medicine I can take.

Back to present day, like I said I'm Kristen Zinicallei and I'm a 14 year old female who suffers from epilepsy and Pots. My best friends name is Trista Greenn, I have a sister named Anna Kate and a brother named Levi. My mom is amazingly supportive and raised all of us on her own. All of my siblings know how to deal with my seizures and when I faint. Levi has panic attacks, and we can take care of him as well.
