Kristen's pov

"BZZZZZ," I heard my alarm scream. It was my first day back after winter break. I quickly got dressed and ran to the bathroom to get ready. I was so excited for school! I took my medicine, ate breakfast and headed out the door to Trista's house, we always walk to the bus together.

"Kristen, your forgetting something," Mom yelled. Oh right Levi.

I was walking with Levi to school today because his car wasn't working. Levi ran to me and we headed towards Trista's house. Trista lived 3 doors down from us and we've been best friends since Kindergarten.

"Race you," Levi hollered as he took of running. I chased after him, when we got to Trista's house I started feeling light headed. I had a feeling I would faint after all that running. I sat against the wall as Levi rang Trista's doorbell. She came outside ready for school.  She always looks happy, she was pumped to leave for our first day back. I was still feeling nauseous,

"Are you ready to go guys," Trista asked?

"YES," Levi said, he couldn't wait to be away from his 'annoying' younger sister and her friend. I stood up, I was on the porch using the railing as support, but lost my balance as everything went black.

Levi's Pov

I tried to catch her as she fell backwards off the side of the porch and landed hard on the sidewalk. When I reached for her she felt straight through my arms. I Knelt down next to Kristen and Trista ran beside me. Kristen's eyes started to flutter open and she was crying out in pain. Her head was bleeding and she looked pale. I ran to the porch to grab her bag. "Trista, Lift her into your lap and try to find the cut on her head," I hollered. I searched her bag until I found her meds and grabbed my phone. I knelt next to Kristen and Trista ran inside to grab her mom. "Kris I need you to sit up so I can give you your meds," I asked. She sat up and I handed her a glass of water and she took all her medicine.

"I don't feel good," Kristen cried.

"Its ok, see there's Trista's mom," I reassured her. She looked into my eyes then started to pass out again.

Trista's mom, Heather, came out to help. "What happened to Kristen?" she asked

"She passed out and fell off the porch, she hit her head and she just passed out again," I explained. "I'm going to call my mom and tell her what happened, Trista and I should probably get to school or else we'll be late," I said.

"Ok then get going, love you Trista, and Levi don't forget to ask your mom to call Kristen out of school," heather hollered as we ran to get to school. We'd already missed the bus. I pulled out my phone and quickly dialed my moms number.

"Mom, Kristen passed out and hit her head, Heather is taking care of her but you need to come over." I said into the phone urgently as she picked up.

"Oh no! I'll come over right away, I'll call Kristen in sick and you and Trista get to school, ok?"

"Were on our way mom, I love you, bye." I said back.

"Bye love," she said then hung up the phone.
