Kristen's POV
I've been waiting to hear from Emy all weekend. We were so worried Friday night. Right now I'm getting ready for school, bright and early this morning. Mornings are always hard for me because of POTS. I will stand up feeling incredibly dizzy and faint sometimes. My medicine helps though. I slowly sat up seeing the room spin and went to the shower.
While I was showering I heard my phone ding with 2 new messages.
Trista
I'm sick, can Levi drive you today?Emy
Sorry about Friday. I'll explain at school.I finished getting ready and suddenly felt faint. I knew what was coming and sat against my door. I heard a voice before everything went dark. When I woke up Levi was sat by my side. "Hey, can you hear me?" Levi asked me.
"Hmm," I groaned.
"You just had a seizure, how are you feeling?" He asked. I could barely keep my eyes open and my body ached.
"H-hurts," I whined quietly.
"I know, do you want to get up?" He asked.
"Trista sick, need ride," I mumbled.
"Ok, ready?" I nodded and he put his helped me to sit up slowly. "Want to walk or stay down for a bit?"
"Walk," I whispered.
"Ok grab on to my shoulder," he said as I reached up to him. I put my arm around him and we slowly stood up. I felt the wave of dizziness hit me like a train, my body gave out and I fell back to the ground. "That didn't work, why don't I get Anna to come help." Levi hollered for her and she came up the stairs quickly.
"What's going on, are you guys ok?" Levi filled her in and all I could think about was how tired I was. I had to go to school though, I can't have Emy being alone with Trista sick. "Ok, 3, 2. 1," Anna counted whilst lifting my arm around her shoulder. They lifted me into the air doing most of the walking for me as we went down stairs.
The nausea hit again as my vision blurred and I fell limp into their arms. When I awoke I was in the front seat of Levi's car. "Gave us quite a scare there Kris," he laughed "I'm driving to school so we won't be late. How're you feeling?" He asked.
I groaned and sat up feeling groggy. "M'okay," I said looking around, we were almost to school. I grabbed my bag and panicked.
"I didn't take my meds this morning," I looked over at Levi and he tossed a plastic bag to me.
"Anna bagged them up," He said smirking. I reached for my water and gulped down my medicine as I walked into school.
"Hey Kristen, Where's Trista?" Emy asked me as soon as I sat down.
"Sick today, want to tell me what happened Friday?" I said, probably sounding ruder than I intended.
"After school, we'll see if Trista is feeling better and then I will tell you both at the same time." she stated then went back to taking notes.
I laid my head on the desk using my sweatshirt as a pillow. "You okay?" Emy asked tapping on my shoulder.
"I'm fine, just a rough morning," I mumbled and lifted my head feeling incredibly dizzy. Class began and I sat through the lesson but wasn't really focused.
"Ready to go?" Emy asked standing up grabbing her things.
"Is it lunch time already?" I responded thinking out loud. She nodded and I rushed to stand up regretting it immediately. I wobbled and reached out for support but nothing was there.
