Since it's been a while, this will also help me remember. Kristen has a little bit of brain damage causing symptoms similar to people who have Post Concussion Syndrome. I did some research and if that's confusing or doesn't sound real, sorry. The symptoms include headaches, memory problems and trouble concentrating, fatigue, sleep disturbance, mood swings, sensitivity to light, dizziness, or balance difficulties. Hope this helps refresh your brain!
Kristen's POV
I've been having a pretty tough week. The doctors put me on new medication and it was causing seizures all the time while my body adjusted. The PCS(Post Concussion Syndrome) wasn't helping my case either. The weather was changing which made my POTS act up as well. I was on so many different medications and I felt horrible all the time. I haven't been to school in a week. Trista's been dropping off homework but I'm supposed to go back today.
I sat up and dizziness came over me. I grabbed the cup beside my bed and took my medication. Things had started to kick in, I was feeling somewhat better and having seizures less often. I got up and packed my bag. Once I was dressed and had everything together I went downstairs. "Morning," I called out to Levi and Anna who were in the kitchen.
The dizziness from when I woke up lingered and I was so tired. Most days I've felt 100% when I wake up and then it would go down during the day. Today I am at 80% and the days barely started. I collapsed against the kitchen chair and began eating my breakfast. A headache pounded in the back of my skull. The smell of food suddenly made me nauseous. I wanted to curl into a ball and go back to sleep but I knew that wasn't an option.

I made my way outside with Levi and he drove us to school. "Text me if you need anything," he said as I got out of the car. I rolled my eyes and nodded. A warm breeze blew into my face when I stepped into the school. Quickly, avoiding the pity stares I was being given, I sped walked to my first period class.

I was winded as I collapsed into a chair in the farthest back corner of my final class. In my opinion one of the perks of having POTS is that I get to sit in the back. I only do this in classes Trista and Emy aren't in because they're both pretty helpful if I faint. When I'm sitting in the back it draws less attention to me if I were to faint.
It's been a pretty long day, being my first day back. A video began playing and sadly we had to take notes. It was when I saw a fast movement outside the window that I lost focus. It turned out to be a squirrel, I think. When I looked back the video was almost over, I scrambled to write five more facts down.
"Okay everyone, now that we've watched we're going to do a quick review for the test tomorrow," my teacher announced walking over to the lights. As she flicked the switched I clenched my eyes shut. When I opened them again pain shot through my head.
I took a few deep breathes and soon enough the pain went away. I began to feel lightheaded, the perfect replacement for my pain. Class ended and I hurried to my next period. "You feeling okay Kris?" Trista asked me as I sat in the back beside her.
"Dizzy," I muttered before resting my head on the desk.
When I regained attention the clock read 9:30. Soon enough the class ended and I went on. Class by class, hour by hour, second by second. When lunch came around I was exhausted.

I pulled out my phone and opened Levi's contact. Meet in bathroom by cafe? I sent the message and after a few seconds he responded. My free period is rn, I'll be right there, do you need anything? I excused myself from the lunch table, I wasn't missing much. It was just Emy flirting with Will and Trista looked nervous to talk. When I got there I went into a stall and slumped against a wall. "Kris?" Levi called, the lock made a click and he opened it.
"Are you okay, did you have a seizure, did you pass out, do you need the nurse?" He rambled on and on.
"Breathe, I just needed a break, and someone." I sighed heavily as dizziness came over me. My knees rose to my chest and I breathed slowly trying to calm myself.
"It's okay, I'm right here," Levi assured, scooting beside me.
"Goodnight," I smiled softly before my vision clouded in a haze and everything went black.

"Hmmmm," I groaned looking around and taking in my surroundings.
"You okay, need anything?" Levi swarmed me as I opened my eyes.
"M'okay, how long until next period," I questioned, my words slightly scrambled. "5-10, more or less."
The rest of the day was a blur, going by quickly. Trista, Emy, and I arranged to hang out tomorrow. "I've got a doctors appointment so I better get going," Trista mentioned and left quickly. Emy walked home with us and kept me company as we walked. When I got home I was relieved to have made it through the school day.

Only four more days then you'll have the weekend.
Trista's POV
I rushed over to my moms car and we sped to the doctors office. With three minutes to spare we'd made it. "Ms. Greenn," a nurse called into the waiting room. We both stood and followed her back to a room. She took my weight, height, and BP monitor records since the las visit. The medicine was helping a lot, fainting reduced to like once every few days. Most of the time, luckily, it happened at home.
"Trista, good to see you again! I looked over the records before coming in here and it seems the changes you've made are helping a lot, how're we feeling today?" Dr. Walker smiled and began to answer.
"I feel pretty good today. Over the weekend I was pretty tired and dizzy but I'm feeling better now." Dr. Walker notes some things on her clipboard and then began with a series of questions. I answered them all to the best of my ability and then she scheduled another appointment and I was done.
Of course I had to jinx it. We got home and I went straight to my room after having a snack. Dizziness grew overwhelming and when I stood up to get water my monitor beeped. I continued to get my water and then sat on the floor. Spots danced around my vision for a few minutes and then it went away and I felt better.
We planned on hanging out tomorrow, Emy asked her mom and then offered to host. We'd never been to her house, by we I mean Kristen and I, let's just say I was beyond excited.
