Kristen's POV
I woke up with a start, my alarm was blaring and giving me a headache. I got out of bed and picked an outfit before heading towards the shower. The hot water was making my head hurt even more. Feeling a faint coming on, I rushed to get out of my room and around people. I grabbed my seizure medicine, remembering that I left my other meds downstairs
I walked downstairs to the table for breakfast. I took a seat but began to feel faint once again. "Morning!" Anna said sitting down all chipper.
"What's got you so happy?" I asked her wondering what put her in such a good mood.
"George is taking me out tonight," She said in a sing-song voice. Her expression changed quickly, "You're looking quite pale darling, do you want to lie down for a minute?" She asked me as Levi came downstairs. "Hmmm," I groaned as a wave of nausea came over me. Anna gave me a concerned stare and helped me down to the floor. I laid my head on a throw pillow and Anna lifted my feet onto a chair.
Levi ran over and kneeled beside us. I grabbed his hand as my vision blurred and my ears began ringing as everything went black.
Levi's POV
I made my way downstairs to see Anna helping Kristen to the floor. She looked incredibly pale and glanced over at me as I walked over to help. Anna set a pillow under her head and raised her legs above her heart.
I kneeled beside the two and Kristen reached out for my hand. I looked at her pale skin and her hand went limp in mine. "I'm going to clean up from breakfast," Anna announced getting up and walking to the table. After a few minutes, Kristen began to stir.
"Hmmm," She groaned trying to sit up.
"Woah, easy there. How are you feeling?" I asked her as I pushed her back down.
"M'fine, I want to get up," She groaned and rubbed her temples. I put my hand on her back and slowly sat her up.
"Are you ready for school?" I asked rubbing her back. She nodded slowly, I slowly began standing her up and moving her to the couch.
"Rest up, you have to leave in...15," I told her checking my watch and covering her up with a blanket.
Kristen's POV
I gathered the strength to walk and made my way to Trista's house. I still felt dizzy and shaky, I felt as if I forgot something. "Hey," Trista yells coming outside. The sudden noise makes me wince and I think I might faint again. "You okay?" She says putting an arm around my shoulder.
"Dizzy," I mumbled leaning most of my weight onto her.
I stopped trying to catch my breath, "Sit down!" Trista whined at my stubbornness. I laid my sweatshirt under my head, getting to the ground.
------------
"Ar--ou--wake? ----ing -kay?" Trista's voice rang in my ear. I groaned, sitting up slowly. "Kris?" She asked me as I opened my eyes.
"Yeah," I said lying there while she held my legs for a bit longer. After a couple minutes I got up slowly and we continued walking to school.
When we arrived we were close to being late but made it just in time. As we were walking in I remembered I forgot to take my medicine. "Hey, I'm going to stop in the nurses office and grab some of my meds real quick. You go ahead to class," I told Trista and we went our separate ways.
I stopped and took my medicine before getting a pass and heading to class. "Hey," I whispered sitting down beside my friends. Emy waved to me and I decided to actually pay attention to the class.
After like 5 million hours the bell finally rang and it was time for lunch. "So what's new?" I asked as we walked down the hallway.
"I was telling Trista earlier, I got an Omnipod and Dexcom yesterday. The Omnipod delivers insulin and I can bolus with a PDM, to add insulin when I eat. The Dexcom monitors my blood sugar levels!" Emy announced and seemed very excited. I was happy for her to have this control.
"That's amazing Em," I said as we walked.
I sat down with my food and I caught Emy staring at Will again. "He's walking towards us!" I mocked as Emy giggled and smacked me.
"Stop it," She whined.
"Can I sit here?" He asked and we all nodded.
We all chatted and laughed during the lunch hour, Trista and I gave them some alone time in the end. When our next class began Emy ran up to us, "Guys, you wont believe this! Will asked me out for this Saturday!" She yelled and we congratulated her.
Trista jumped up hugging her and I joined too. I began feeling dizzy again as we sat back down from all the sudden movement and standing up and down. I laid my head on the desk and I succumb to the darkness.
--------------------
When I woke up Trista slid me a sheet that had notes from the class on it. I mouthed "Thank you," and sat up.
After a few hours the bell rang and school was out. I bid farewell to my friends and got into my brothers car. "I have to meet Nathan at the park, I'm going to drop you home first though, Okay?" He asked me and I nodded.
When we got home Levi told Anna where he was going and I made dinner while she finished her class.
Levi's POV
I spotted Nathan sitting on a picnic table, we hadn't talked to each other since the day in the library. I walked over to where he was and sat down. The park was pretty much empty so we had some privacy.
"So..." I said hoping to get this conversation over with. "Look, I'm really sorry about whatever it was that happened the other day, I want us to still be friends. What can I do to fix this?" He asked me.
"Whatever happened? You kissed me that's what happened. You may never be able to fix this, sorry doesn't fix things. This will take time, we'll talk when I'm ready to talk," I said annoyed that he thought he could just walk in here say sorry and then all is forgiven.
He looked back at me shocked but didn't speak. We sat for a while before I got up and went to my car. I looked back at him one more time before driving away.
When I arrived back home Anna was in the kitchen and Kristen was lying on the couch watching TV. "Hey, I'm back," I said closing the door.
"Great! Dinner's almost ready. go wash your hands," She said nodding to the both of us.
We scrambled off to the bathrooms and washed up.
------------------------
When I woke up I looked over to see that I had 36 missed calls, 8 messages, and they were all from Nathan. I listened to the voicemails, all pleading for forgiveness. I deleted them all before getting another call.
"Nathan, stop calling me!" I said answering the phone.
"It's not Nathan," The person said.
"Who is this? Why do you have Nathan's phone?" I asked the person on the other end.
"This is Nathan's dad, he's in the hospital. He's been asking about you ever since he woke up," I sat there shocked.
Nathan hasn't seen his dad in over 5 years, what was he doing here and why was he the one calling me about this?
Hey lovelies! Sorry for the delay this took me a while to write, I hope you enjoyed it though. My phone is working again so I'll be able to write on mobile as well which makes my chapters get done faster for you guys. Have an amazing day!!!
Question of the day: Would you rather be 2 feet tall or 100 feet tall?
I would rather be 2 feet because 100 seems to much
Have a great week!!!
