I was awoken by panicked screaming and yelling coming from outside and immediately jumped off the couch and ran over to the window.

The people of Woodbury were running back and forth from the wall with huge buckets of water and long hoses.

I wondered what they were doing, but then I remembered yesterday and looked over to the wall, seeing a big wood full of flames slowly approaching the town..

I immediately turned from the window and began to shake Zoe, to wake her up, but she was knocked out hard, as if she were actually dead. But, I'm pretty sure it was just the wine she had yesterday...

Winter came out of Zoe's room, rubbing her eyes and a worried look on her face, but before I could say anything, people began to yell and bang on Zoe's door.

I sighed and crouched down to Winter's level and stroked her hair.
"Winter, I'm going to need you to wait here whilst Zoe and I sort something out, alright?"
She looked at me with concerned eyes and gripped my arm tightly, so I gave her a tight hug.
"We'll be fine, but it's dangerous out there for you. Zoe is our friend, but there's still some bad people in Woodbury.."
I pulled away and caressed her cheek.
"So I want you to stay here till we get back, okay?"
She frowned, but slowly nodded.
"Good girl, now help me wake up aunt Zoe."
I nudged her and grinned.
"You can do whatever you want to wake her up."

Hearing this, Winter grinned and immediately rushed over to Zoe and began to poke, prod, slap and tickle her to try and wake her, but she wouldn't budge. After a few minutes, Winter gave up trying to wake her "nicely" and straight up began jumping on Zoe to wake her, which worked pretty much instantly.

Zoe let out a loud groan and tried swatting at Winter, but she quickly jumped into my arms.
"Who the fuck..?"
Zoe slowly rose from the couch and rubbed her eyes.
"Why are you letting your malen'koye porozhdeniye demona on me??"
I smirked and tutted her as I put Winter down.
"Ty khuzheou, besides, you wouldn't get up."
"I'm hung over! A woman needs her beauty sleep! Being this great doesn't come naturally, moya lyubov'."
I let out a deep sigh.
"Can't you hear all the yelling? The banging on the door?"
Her sleepiness slowly wore off as she got up.
"Oh, I thought that was just the wine.."
I looked at her with a dumbfounded look.
"I..whatever..just get your ass up and let's go fix your mess..for the hundredth  time.."
She raised a brow at me, confusion written all over her face.
"My mess?..What..?"

Before I could answer her, a burly black guy came bursting through her door, all sweaty with a panicked look on his face.

He panted as he pointed out the door.
"We need you. The woods...on fire.."
Zoe looked to me shocked, then quickly grabbed my arm and dragged me out the door.
"Stay here, Winter!" I yelled.
"There's candy in the cupboard!" Zoe called as she slammed the door.

We quickly rushed to the wall, the burly guy leading the way.

As soon as we stepped out the house, we could see the fire slowly approaching the wall, and as soon as we got to the gate, people immediately surrounded Zoe and bombarded her with questions.

Everyone was yelling and screaming at her in a panicked tone, all at once, but once she let out a loud, sharp whistle, everyone immediately quietened down.

Her usual demeanor immediately turned from relaxed to serious as she looked over to the fire.
"Enough, I know you're all panicked, but there's little we can do. Water alone won't stop such a big fire."
Everyone began to bombard and overwhelm her again.
"Then what are we gonna do!?"
"Will we die?"
"Will we loose our home?"
"What's going to happen to us!?"
"Are we gonna have to leave?"
