"Angel, come on, you gotta get up." A soft voice lulled to you in your sleepy state. Only gaining a groan back in return, the soft spoken voice let out a sigh. "Please Ness, I don't really think you'd want Dew and Swiss coming in to wake you."

Just as he finished his sentence, you quickly popped up. Not wanting to be woken by the two troublesome ghouls, you quickly get up and out of the bed.

Wandering off to the bathroom after grabbing your clothes, grumbling to yourself about the rude awakening. Letting out a loud huff at hearing the ghoul in the other room laughing.

Once you were done in the shower and dressed, you finished getting ready by doing your hair and putting on some makeup. Opening the door when you're done, you come face to face with a human shifted Mountain.

"Well hello there pretty boy." Smirking as you speak once you notice the blush staining his face.

Still heavily blushing, he mumbled out a reply as he started walking to the door; his backpack containing his stage mask in his hand. "Shut up."

"What? You don't like being called a 'pretty boy'?" Teasing him as you grab your bag that's sat in front of the bed. Following him out of the room, walking to match his pace; he still wouldn't look at you with his face stained red. "I'm just teasing you Bubs." Leaning up to place a peck on his cheek, you chuckle a bit and run up ahead to catch the elevator with some random old lady. Leaving Mountain to have to catch the next one alone.

Fifty Minutes Later :

"All performance member's please make your way to the side stage entrance. Again, all members please make your way to the side stage entrance. The curtains will be raised in fifteen minutes."

Hearing the announcement sounded over the loudspeaker, you rush to make sure the ghouls are all over at the entrance. Taking a quick head count once you get there, you notice Mountain is the only one who's not there.

Knowing he was just with the group not even five minutes ago when you left to talk with the stage crew, you start to worry a bit. Placing your hand on Cirrus's shoulder, you politely question the shorter ghoulette. "Hey Ciri, do you know where Mountain got to?"

"Hm? Oh he walked off mumbling something about finding you. To be honest, he didn't look the best either. Walked off before I could ask him if he was okay."

Sending the smaller ghoulette a painted smile, as your nerves were eating you up inside, you hurried off to find your other half.

Rushing around in the back halls, weaving in between the crew members, you quickly peek into each room to clear it of the taller ghoul. As you're about to turn left down the hallway, you faintly hear quick, panicked, breaths.

That's when you feel it. The dread pooling at the bottom of your stomach, the feeling of your throat closing in on you; not allowing you to breathe even a bit. Trying to push through it to be able to find him, clearly being able to tell he's not in an okay state.

The mate bond is serious, it's no joke. When one half of the party is undergoing very strong and intense emotions, the other half is capable of feeling them as well. This is only if the link from the half feeling said emotions is let open. Which Mountain is probably unaware of, as his feelings are being let out very harshly.

Not wanting to cause him any more panic with your emotions on top of his, you hurry your pace; making a right instead of a left to try to find him. "Bubba, where are you?" You spoke through the mate bond softly, hoping not to scare him.

Feeling the stress that's being projected through the bond lessen slightly, relief slightly setting in. Opening the last door in the hall, you see him curled up in the corner. Rushing to be by his side, you kneel down to take his head in your hands. "Bubs? You're okay, alright?"

Pulling his head into your chest, you feel him let out a relieved but shuttered sigh. Placing a kiss on the top of his head, you sit there for about a minute without anything being said. That's until he speaks up on his own. "They told me you left."

Being confused at what he was talking about, you asked him more about it. "Bubba, what are you talking about? I only left to go talk with the stage crew. Even if I did leave the stadium, I would've come back in time for the show."

Feeling him shake his head no, you grew even more confused. "No, they pulled me aside and told me you left. They said you left and you weren't coming back. That you couldn't stand being here or with me, so you left. That you wanted nothing to do with me anymore." Physically hearing him rake in his shallow breaths broke your heart. Who the hell would even say such things? "You don't want to leave me, right? You wouldn't ever leave without saying goodbye, would you?"

Looking into his eyes, you see he's being completely serious with his questions. "Mountain, I would never leave you, okay?"

The thick strand of doubt still lingering on his face. "But what if you get tired of me? What if you don't want me anymore? You'll say you've changed your mind-"

Scoffing at his statements, you grab onto his jaw with both hands; cupping it between the two. Forcing him to stop his rambling and look at you. "Mountain I swear to fucking Satan that if you don't shut up about me not wanting to be with you ever, I will scream bloody fucking murder."

"But you can always change your mind-" He tried to start up his rambling again.

You, however, were having none of it. "I love you."

Just like that, silence blanketed the two of you for what felt like forever, just staring at one another. In turn, it was only about a minute or so. "There, I said it. And I will say it again because it's true, I love you. I don't ever want to leave you, so get those stupid thoughts out of your head. Okay?"

Coming out of his shell shocked state, a very small but playful smirk hung at the corners of his lips. "I thought you said you wanted to take it slow?"

Huffing out a breath and a laugh at the same time, you replied. "I do, but it's the truth. And I thought you said you'd be fine with whatever I am." Smiling as you raise a brow, silently asking what his defense was.

Knowing he had none, the drummer's face was once again tinted pink. Mummering a small, "Shut up.", in response. Your smile grew as you pulled him into a gentle kiss. Only to be pulled right back into another, more passionate, one by him.

"As much as I would like to stay here kissing you all night, you do have to be on stage in..." Looking down at your watch, you see there's only a few minutes left till the curtains are raised. "Well, three minutes."

His eyes going wide as he hears how much time he has to get to the stage. Grabbing you by your forearm, the taller ghoul drags you back through the halls you were just running down to find him.

Once reaching the entrance to the stage, the two of you see the others just now walking out. "You're gonna do great Bubs." Pulling him down once more to place a kiss on top of his mask on his forehead, you push him to go out onto the stage.
