I squint my eyes at the window in my room as my phone plays the sound of my alarm on my desk. I groan in a tired voice and sit up before stretching in every which direction, arching my back as I yawn. "Ugh.. Sousuke—time to wake up.." My arm reaches out for where Mitsuba was previously laying, but I was only greeted with an empty spot that was occupied with nothing but half of my blanket.
"Sousuke—?" I look around the rest of my room before rubbing my eyes and standing up, my alarm still playing one of my many alarms out loud. "Geez.." I mutter under my breath as I turn my alarm that read "WAKE YOUR LAZY ASS UP DAMNIT number 6" off. Where the hell did Mitsuba go? I knew he woke up earlier than I did, but I was surprised that he wasn't still smothering the crap out of me like he was when I was staying over at his place.
I shuffle over to my closet and dig out a pair of black socks from my closet and slip them on my feet before grabbing my phone and making my way to the bathroom to take a quick leak before school. Maybe Mitsuba was already downstairs tackling breakfast or something.. yeah, probably. I sigh as I wash my hands, then I squirt some toothpaste on my toothbrush and begin brushing the hell out of my teeth. Since I now had somebody in my life that I had to keep impressed I made sure I brushed my teeth extra good, surpassing the usual 2 minute time by adding an addition 5 or 6 minutes into the brushing.
I yawn once again as I topple down the stairs, shuffling to the living room to find Teru sitting on the couch eating a random piece of fruit he found. "Hey.. do you know where Mitsuba is? He wasn't sleeping anymore so I assumed he'd be down here." "He left just a few minutes ago.. mentioned something about wanting to drop his things off at home and heading to school early. I dunno—I was half asleep when he was talking to me so a majority of his words went right through my ears." I slowly nod my head before going to the kitchen to get a quick breakfast. "Right.." I was surprised that he wasn't worried about walking home in the dark, but I assume he must do it pretty often.
The sun hadn't started rising yet, so I couldn't help but feel a little worried—he was a very independent person though so I shouldn't think too low of him. "I'm gonna go wake Tiara up and help her get ready for school!" Teru calls out to me from the living room before heading upstairs. "Okay! I'll get her some pancakes!" I call back to him and start digging in the cabinet for a bowl to make some quick pancake batter in, along with digging out the necessary ingredients for some simple pancakes. Maybe I could cook some up for Mitsuba and take them to school with me and give them to him when I make it there.. yeah—I think I'll do that. Once I had the batter all made up it was pretty easy to get the pancakes all cooked up in time for me to give them to Tiara and have some extra time to properly get all ready for school without having to worry about being late. I figured that Mitsuba was the type of guy to be into strawberries and whipped cream, so I chopped up some strawberries from the fridge and topped the small little pancakes I made for him with the strawberries and sprayed some whipped cream over the top. Hopefully these don't get all ruined in my hot pursuit to school, but we'll see when they get opened up here in a bit.
I then throw the pancakes I made for Tiara on a plate and dressed them with syrup and sprinkles like how she liked them before setting them on her spot at the table, and sure enough she came rushing down the stairs just in time. "Kou-niiii!" She smiles and runs over to me, hugging my leg per usual. "Good morning Tiara—you made it just in time! I made your favorite.." She climbs up into her chair and gasps, jumping up and down on the chair as she giggles. "Pancakes! Pancakes! Thank you Kou-nii!" I smile and pat her head. "Careful, I just pulled them from the pan so they're hot." "Okay!" I hand her a fork before tossing all the dishes I used into the sink—telling myself that I'll just deal with them all later on.
Once I get up to my room I shut the door and begin getting dressed in my usual school uniform shirt over a black t-shirt. I wore the t-shirt under the button up so that I could still be somewhat comfortable throughout the school day, since I had to put up with wearing a tie around my neck for a majority of my actual day. It didn't really bug me all that much, but I was always relieved when I could untie it and just let it stay loose behind my neck anytime I could. I then secure my pants with my red and white belt before sliding my shoes onto my feet—which were eventually gonna be changed into the Uwabaki shoes that the school had us put on as soon as we arrived to the building. I stretch again before finishing off my look with my usual traffic ticket earring and one of my many red sweatbands on my wrist, since the spirits wouldn't take me seriously otherwise—then I pack up my school bag and make my way back downstairs to the kitchen so I could secure the pancakes I cooked up for Mitsuba. I struggled to find a way to ensure that these bad boys wouldn't get ruined, but I eventually settled on securing them in my hand since I had very little space in my bag to fit the container without crushing it somehow.
