Chapter seven

You smiled walking alongside shanks in the mall.

You two decided it’s too boring in the dorms and since it was the weekend, you would go on a date!

You hummed quietly a song that was stuck in your mind as shanks took you in a store “so! Listen, my lady. I want you to take everything you want and I’ll pay for it.” He smiled seriously, you giggled slightly and looked at him “really?” you asked ‘kinda weird how we’re always together now when back then we were always separated due to some problems happening’ You thought.

“Of course! Anything and everything you want” he smiled, you had a small sinister smile and fortunately for you he didn’t seem to catch up on it and very unfortunately for him.

You skipped your way in the store and begun taking everything that seemed to catch your internet, yes you heard me right everything.

Dresses, tops, shorts, jeans, literally every kind of clothes was there and you being the child stuck in a grown up body liked everything immediately and took it, I mean free stuff right? You wouldn’t pass up that opportunity on renewing your wardrobe, everything in it was old and you’re going to donate it all as soon as you put these there.

You obviously tried them on and showed them to shanks which he likeed them all very much, in the worst case he had a nose bleed at least 10 times and nearly fainted twice. Totally you weren’t worried about his health, totally.

When you payed for it you saw a karaoke place which relived a memory in you so you acted accordingly.

“Mr. Shanks! Why don’t we go there! I just love karaoke!” You smiled, he looked at your form confused for a bit but then he smiled as well and said “of course Mrs. L/n. Let’s head in shall we” he laughed. You and shanks walked in and sat down. “this place surly brings back a lot of memories” smiled shanks “yeah! This was where we first went together! We started our bond in this same exact place” you grinned as he nodded.

You looked around slowly then you spotted a table at the far corner of the place, the same exact table you sat at that day.

You tugged shanks and ran there sitting down, you giggled a bit then looked at the red-haired man frowning slightly “did you also see him?” you asked “yeah, he was following us since we left the dorms.” He replied while nodding “who sent him? I quite wonder that, maybe kaido? Big mom? Teach? Hmmm” you thought a bit too hard for your poor brain. “I’d think it’s kaido, he’s the only one that would benefit from you” shanks interrupted your thoughts and you layed back not making it obvious that you were staring at the man who was following you throughout your whole date. Blond hair, brown eyes, a smirk resting on his lips that was all smeared with red lipstick. A nice white shirt with black trousers.

He was talking on the phone with someone but it was unclear to who as the music cancelled it out. You sighed and turned towards shanks “what? You done staring at other men?” he huffed totally jealous, yeah he didn’t have a whole assed plan on how to murder a certain spy right now. You laughed your ass off and then looked at him very seriously as you said “I’ve got my eyes on you, and only you” you smiled.

“What’s your plan of action now?” he asked “act like you don’t know he’s here, we’ll stay for a while then go through the backdoor. If he happen to follow us then… I will personally deal with him” you chuckled darkly. He nodded then took your hand “you know… you’ve changed so much since I last saw ya. You were so harmless but now you’re so dangerous, and… I like it” he smiled his eyes flashing red. “shanks? Why does your eyes sometimes turn red? I noticed that a lot lately..” you asked “it’s the light reflection haha” he laughed nervously as you frowned and let go of his hand, you looked to the side betrayal all over his face “you know I’m a human lying detector right? This is the first time you lie to me about something…” you muttered “No y/n it’s just-!” he tried to reason with you but you cut him off “let’s get out” you already stood up and started walking “Y- Y/n!! Wait up!” he shouted picking up the stuff and running after you.
