Chapter thirty-seven

You whipped your hands from the blood you had on them and looked down at your father “Do you understand what I’ve said?” you asked and he nodded “Great, now get the fuck out of my office” you glared at him and he stood up “I’m only doing this cause you’ve said so” he grumbled getting up and you immediately made him stop in his track “Excuse me?” you smiled “I mean- I’m doing this to show affection to my dear son! Because he didn’t get enough of it when he was a child” he nodded agreeing to whatever he said “Exactly, now… OUT!” you said pointing at the door “see you!” he smiled nervously and ran out of the room.

You looked down at your hands and sighed “I became just like him…” you muttered and sat down on the office chair.

You looked tiredly at the computer, searching for a certain signal. Well, you did have a phone tracker on shanks’ phone… but! it wasn’t for anything bad, you were just looking out for him!  By tracking his phone… yeah that sounds bad.

You chuckled once you found the signal “I knew you would be there, time to get my husband back home” you smiled your eyes turning red. “JOHN!!” you shouted and he immediately came in “Yes ma’am!” he saluted and you grinned “prepare me a report of what happened this past week immediately and tell Marie to prepare my car” you ordered and he bowed and left “Just what are you thinking my love? Why would you think leaving me is for the greater good…” you sighed “Don’t worry, I’ll show you the greater good” you chuckled and got up.

You got out of your car and looked at the ruins of the house before you, you walked in and frowned seeing new blood stains on the wall.

You saw shanks’ phone on the ground and picked it up “Damn it” you muttered once you saw it’s broken, you begun walking faster and saw Benn laying on the ground beaten up and bloodied.

You cursed your luck and checked if he was alive “Thank god, you’re alive” you sighed and healed him up, all of his wounds transferring into your body and healing slowly.

You picked him up and put him on your shoulder walking around the house, you found nobody else there. Just some dead bodies, you went back to your car and layed Benn down in the backseat.

You sighed and leaned on your car “I’ll find out who did this and kill them” you smirked but then your phone dinged signaling a new message. You took out the device and checked your messages to see it was John

“Last week’s report:

Day1: the navy has been making moves on your terrorizes

Day2: teach escaped

Day3: ace had been captured

Day4: navy nearly took wano

Day5: Marco woke up

Day6: located shanks

Day7: navy attacks again and shanks’ location is lost”

you read the report and gritted your teeth “Guess you’re really searching for a death wish hmm?” you chuckled your eye twitching.

You calmed yourself down and took a deep breath then heard a groan come from inside, Benn sat up and rubbed his head “The fuck happened?” you asked glancing at him “Y/n?..” he muttered as he looked at you “Yeah, it’s me. Now what happened?” you questioned again now looking at him “Teach and shanks happened” he sighed and got out of the backseat immediately taking a cigarette and begun smoking.

“Explain in details please” you said as you sat down on the ground “Shanks… gone crazy… of some sort? His eyes turned red, he was…different? I can’t really describe it but he was… just not normal… Then teach came, shanks immediately attacked him. I engaged in the fight too but I was injured and shanks flipped more, he couldn’t control himself. He has something, a voice that controls him at times. That’s why his eyes turn red, he’s been trying to control it for years and it’s been especially bad since he met you” he explained and you were shocked “A voice?” you repeated ‘it couldn’t be the effect of me being close… the devil fruit… trapped inside… Voices? It could be… He must’ve had times he’d get overprotective of his friends and his eyes would turn red, then when I consumed the devil fruit the voices must of traveled to him since we’re literally connected by it’ you thought biting your lip in concentration “Y/n? Are you still there?” Benn said while waving his hand in front of your face “Oh sorry, I must’ve zoned out” you smiled apologetically “Anyway, as I’ve said. Before I fell unconscious, I saw teach knock shanks out and take him” Benn repeated and you immediately stood up “WHAT?!” you shouted as you begun shaking Benn back and forth “You’re kidding me right?!” you asked letting him go and begun walking in circles “I’m not joking and you need to calm down y/n. You need to be calm to make a brilliant plan as usual” sighed Benn and you immediately stopped then stared at him “Did you just call me smart?” you asked “Uh.. yeah?” he replied confused “FINALLY SOMEONE OTHER THAN SHANKS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I’M FUCKING SMART!” you shouted.

//After a few y/n dancing happily and arguing with Benn to get in the car later//

You were at your base muttering incoherent things to those around you but it all makes sense to you, pacing around back and forth while either nodding or shaking your head from time to time.

Everyone sweat dropped at how confusing you were to them again, no one could understand you nor your perspective on the world. Currently only a few people are here: F/n, Benn, John, Marie, Sabo, Luffy , Marco and Lastly your father figure Edward Newgate. Finally you stopped walking and grinned “I found it!” you smiled then looked at them who stared back at you confused “Right! Let me explain the situation, as you all may know. Ace is in impel down, teach escaped and shanks is nowhere to be found. Teach gave ace to the navy and kidnapped shanks, we’re getting 2 attacks prepared. First One on marineford and Second One on teach’s base. Me, oyaji, luffy, Marco and Benn are going to go save Ace. While dad, John, Marie and sabo, go and get shanks back from teach’s base. I know teach is coming to the war that’s taking place in marineford for some ulterior motives and I need to be there to stop it. Here’s how it’s gonna goes, oyaji and Marco are gonna go in first. Acting like only the whitebeard gang and their allies came, soon after by 15 minutes max. I’ll come in and luffy will follow behind me by 2 minutes. I’ll get ace off the platform and then Marco would come and take ace away from the war, after making sure ace is in safety we’ll slowly retreat. Meanwhile the second team is gonna go to teach’s base dad and John you’re gonna play as distraction, you’re gonna take some of the gang and attack them when on the other hand sabo and Marie are gonna sneak into the base and search for shanks. Everyone is gonna be distracted fighting off dad and John that they’ll abandoned the prisoners with less security. Is the plan clear?” you asked looking at them and they all nodded “You.. just thought of the plan? Like right now?” asked luffy “Yeah! It’s not that complicated is it?” You smiled “YOU’RE SO SMART Y/N!!” laughed luffy while everyone nodded ‘appreciation!!’ you thought smiling ‘finally people are acknowledging my smartness!’
