Chapter twenty-five

Y/n POV:

Luckily I didn’t faint, I just became weaker for a while but it passed without any damages thankfully.

My past self has been out cold for a month now and from the news it seems that shanks has been moving around for a while towards where we were now.

Boa Hancock a pirate empress has been coming here frequently to visit luffy, bringing food and clothes for him ‘I bet 2 millions berries that she has a crush on luffy’ I thought with a sweat drop as she keeps glaring at me whenever I get close to luffy.

Rayleigh was staying here to train luffy and ace.

Jinbei a former warlord also was here, seemingly he was with luffy during the war but you didn’t notice him due to being so focused on saving Ace and fighting the admirals.

You were just waiting for her to wake up so she could send you back to your timeline.

You were worried about shanks’ mental state as you both were literally inseparable and now you were away from him for a very long while. Which totally isn’t making you nervous.

You sighed as you looked at the ocean when you saw a large ship approaching, it had a large flag with a skull and three scares. It was shanks’ crew. But what were they doing here. You walked back to the group and then stated calmly “I think the red-haired pirates are coming this way” and pointed at the direction you came from. Everyone immediately scurried there to see except for Rayleigh who was just as calm as you having already detected shanks’ haki presence already.

Once the ship was docked, Shanks and Benn got off the ship. Walking towards me calmly “You’re the ‘future’ her, aren’t you?” Asked shanks and you nodded “Yes, I am the future her. She’s inside law’s submarine, I revived her no need to thank me” you chuckled as you saw his shocked face and he sprinted towards said submarine in an instant. You smiled when you saw Benn looking at you in some sort of shock? “I’m not the one you’re looking for, she’s inside” he nodded warily and followed his captain, you turned around and walked back to the forest. You heard footsteps from behind and shanks popped up, he looked a bit concerned? Happy? “I’ve talked with the other me. He was depressed, for a little over 3 months. We talked about how everyone is doing, Marco has went back to trying suicide. Everyone is comforting him to the best of their abilities, the ASL trio are no good. All of them are trying to cheer everyone when they’re suffering as much as everyone else. Thatch’s mood been going down drastically, whitebeard won’t stop drinking. He hasn’t been sober since the day you died… law and Kidd we don’t want to talk about them.. they’re literally being a nightmare to Navy that you can’t imagine!” He stated seriously, you sighed as you looked down “I can’t imagine how much grief they must be going through… I just need her to wake up soon, I want to go back. I want to tell them I’m alive. I want to help them like they helped me numerous times before!” you frowned as you pulled on your hair in frustration when a hand stopped you “stop pulling your hair, you need to be top condition when you return home” shanks said his eyes softening “Plus, anger is not good for you… or your child” he added with a shit eating grin.

You sighed as you sat down “I’ve been here for 4 months, I’m more concerned about everyone than myself right now.. they’re suffering, because I’m not there.. I want to go back! I miss my shanks and him checking on me every 2 seconds, I miss doing pranks on everyone, I miss the friendly fight between me and luffy because he took food from my plate, I miss ace scolding luffy everyday, I miss sabo holding off both of these two after I stole their food and ran, I miss thatch’s cooking, I miss Marco teasing me, I miss pop’s hugs, I miss messing with law, I miss fighting with Kidd, I miss lashing out on my ghost of a father and.. and.. “ you sobbed as you listed all the things you missed, you were tired. Although you had some of these people here but it wasn’t the same… nothing was the same. You looked down and clenched your fists, the tears flowing down your face like a waterfall. Guess being pregnant messed up your emotions more than you thought.. shanks crouched down and made you look in his eyes “We will get you home as soon as she wakes up, don’t worry” he smiled reassuringly.

“WAHHHH! WHY ARE YOU SO NICE?!” you cried as he tried to calm you down to the best of his abilities.

Once you calmed down, you both walked back and looked around to find that law’s submarine was gone. “She was transferred to the red force infirmary, law had to go” explained Rayleigh once he noticed your confusion. Shanks nodded and went to his ship while you sat down beside the old man with a sigh. “Everything’s good lass?” he asked “Rayleigh-san? Could you tell me… about some adventure.. you had with Roger? Maybe about some fights him and my father had?” you said looking at him curiously. “Ah I could tell you about this one time…

The Roger pirates were chilling on an island when a marine ship pulled up on them. Nearly everyone was drunk at this point except for four people: Roger, Rayleigh, shanks and buggy.

Once Roger spotted the marines he immediately picked up the two children and ran off. Both children were taken back by the sudden action but once they saw the crew drunkly fighting the marines they begun laughing, laughing at their crew’s misery “RUN! ROGER-SAN RUN!” Laughed the small red-haired as he saw the marines chasing after them. It was like a game of cat and mouse to the red-haired while the blue haired one wasn’t enjoying any moment of this “RUUUUUN!!!” shouted buggy as he shrieked once the marines got too close for comfort, Roger laughed without a care in the damn world and once he put the two children down he started fighting them, one by one they fell down. Shanks was staring in amazement while buggy hid behind a tree” Rayleigh grinned remembering the memory “So shanks couldn’t give a damn about anything and kept laughing while buggy was a scared cat?” you asked laughing slightly “Yeah! You won’t even believe how many times I found him hiding in a barrel after a fight we had. If I had a berry everytime I found him hiding like that I'd be a multimillioner!” he laughed slapping his knee hard. You winced when you saw him do that “I could imagine it’s a handful” you chuckled nervously “Ah, Also! I remember this one time your father attacked us. Shanks had a panic attack, buggy was hiding behind a barrel. Roger was protecting the kids while I was holding off your father’s men. The crew were everywhere, I remember them getting some very serious injuries at the time. Your father was really strong you know! He almost defeated Roger at his prime, fought against whitebeard too and lived to tell the tale. He was an amazing opponent” he grinned while you looked at the ground, your eyes getting clouded. ‘My father..? Amazing opponent?... You don’t know Rayleigh have I’ve seen the way he fights… you don’t know what I’ve endured.. in my past life… what would’ve happen if we died that day? Would any of this exist? Would anything change? Would we be reincarnated regardless? Is my devil fruit even stable? How can I do all of those things that bastard said?... I wanna go back home..’ you thought as you looked down your hair shielding your face “Say Rayleigh… do you know about…“
