Chapter twenty

//A few days later//

You took shanks out of the mansion on a date as a distraction since you told all of your maids and butler to prepare the place with decorations and get the cake with shanks’ favorite flavor.

You had to act like you forgot about it when you’re the mastermind of a party at home… not hard, you’ve done better *cough* Benn *cough* you smiled as you dragged him in the restaurant and sat down getting breakfast to freshen up before going for the real fun.

You were looking at the menu when shanks spoke up “So… do you know what today is?” he asked and you looked aside “Today is one of those lousy Monday’s I hate Mondays” you replied now facing him. He looked a bit taken back and sunk further in his chair ‘AHHHHHHHH!!!! HE’S SAD! I REPEAT! HE’S FUCKING SAD!!! DON’T BE SAD MY DEAR! IT’S JUST A SILLY LITTLE PRANK AND THEN WE’LL PARTY TOGETHER ALL NIGHT!’ you thought with a very calm expression on your face.

Once breakfast was finished you both went to the amusement park which is very bad for your health at your current state.

So you weren’t really planning on going on any ride, just here for the shits and giggles and to see shanks screaming like a high school girl.

Maybe you shouldn’t of come here, after all right now you were emptying today’s breakfast in the trashcan. ‘ah shit, I just hope he doesn’t catch up to anything. Please be my idiotic lovable red-haired who’s very oblivious!’ you thought as you sat down on the chair breathing heavily, shanks took your face in his hand and begun whipping it with a nap “Why did you start throwing up?” He asked “Don’t worry, I just felt really nauseous and threw up it’s nothing much” you smiled.

As soon as he finished cleaning your face you started shewing on some poor gum to reduce the nasty smell of whatever you threw up. “Y/n, don’t tell me it’s nothing and tell me everything! Don’t act like I didn’t hear you the past few days as you threw up in the bathroom” he protested making you flinch “I can’t tell you now… maybe later?” you smiled lightly then you saw someone you were gonna fetch later dragged by a moss head and creepy pink haired girl who you knew that much “Hey look! ZORO! PERONA! MIHAWK!” you yelled waving your hand at them with the biggest smile, perona looked relived to see you while the swordsman smirk.

Mihawk  was literally indifferent and more tired about the fact you two were probably gonna join.

You dragged shanks with you to the trio smiling while he mumbled about the fact it should’ve been only you two. ‘sorry love but this bastard over here won’t attend the party, unless I personally drag him there. You’ll be grateful later believe me’ you sighed and nodded at the duo who nodded back.

The two older man looked confused about your exchange of nods and looks it’s as if you were having a whole assed conversation.

Shanks was starting to get a bit irritated at that, he was supposed to have your undivided attention today! It was his birthday and you were acting strangely. You felt two arms wrap around your waist and a head buried in your hair. You just hummed and rubbed circles at the back of his hand since you knew this means he want some attention and please stop fucking ignoring me. “Alright, alright you big baby. Come on you’re joining guys! We’re gonna have some fun~” you smiled darkly and the trio sweat dropped.

Everyone then went on every single ride and after every one you threw up which was concerning your poor friends and husband. ‘too much activity, too much adrenaline! If I throw up one more time I’ll punch someone’ you growled lowly as shanks was cleaning your face for the up tenth time this day.

Then you got a notification that read ‘bring the victims’ which made you smile “Well guys, how about we go home. I’m tired, shanks carry me please” you pouted as you put out your hands.

He smiled and complied with whatever you said “And you guys come have dinner with us!” you winked at the duo and they understand it grinning from ear to ear.

The poor old men hadn’t even understood a single sign you and the duo made which made them a bit suspicious.

When you drove home, you and the other two misfits sat in the back while birthday boys had sat at the front.

You kept giggling and laughing with the others at the tense atmosphere as the two thought you might be pranking them.

Which you weren’t like at all.

Okay maybe the whole topic of forgetting their birthday is a prank but it isn’t considered one if you didn’t make anyone angry at you by the end of the day.

Once you reached the mansion, shanks gave you a piggy back ride and you were just the happiest.

You returned home at like 9 p.m. which meant it was dark outside. Once he got in the lights were off and as soon as he opened them “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!!!!” everyone shouted well maybe not everyone but the majority after all you invited maybe twice the people who came to your last party aka the before school one.

The biggest and smallest gangsters you knew were here. Meaning there was a lot of people but there was one person missing and you needed to go and get him for he would be your first present, because the second one would shock everyone.

Shanks and Mihawk were shocked at that since they thought you forgot about their birthday, you were faking it all till this moment which warmed their heart.

You made a surprise party for them when they Gave up on the idea of you remembering. You got off his back and strolled around looking for your brother. When you saw him standing with oyaji, you sprinted towards him “listen, distract shanks. I have to leave now and I’ll be back” You said urgently “where are you going yoi?” he questioned “getting a present for shanks” you answered Shortly and left through the backdoor.

You drove fast to the base of Hendrix and barged in “Uncle hen! I’m here to get you~” you singsong as you entered “I’m here, just a minute” he said from God knows where ‘ah the things I’d do for you shanks!’ you thought with a sigh “let’s go now” he said appearing from nowhere making you yell “OH GOD DAMNIT STOP BEING SUCH A CREEPY ASS BASTARD!”  you shouted pointing at him “sorry” he apologized politely “ahhh shit okay, you and your polite ass. Let’s go” you muttered leaving the base.

You smiled as sneaked back into the house like you never left. But with the other male trailing behind you were like a thief with a fucking torch.

Marco stared at you shocked and you had to mouth the word ‘uncle’ and point at shanks who was busy laughing with whitebeard.

You ushered the old man into one of the rooms then ran to shanks and jumped on his back “TIME FOR PRESENT OPENING!!” you yelled with the biggest smile “Sure!” laughed shanks handing you his cup of alcohol, you cringed slightly at the smell and put the cup aside.

He got different kinds of gifts: perfume, flowers, clothes, jewels and many other shits but your presents has to be the best he’ll ever see in his whole life.

You grinned walking forward to him and then turned to the door “May the first present come in~” you singed as the man came out, everyone looked in confusion at the strange man.

Yet who knew him tensed up, like how would you know that legend? “Introducing, Hendrix Le roux!” you smiled as shanks quite literally latched onto the man who was hugging him tightly. ‘yup! He’s such a softy when it comes down to family!’ you thought with a smile “wait you said first? There’s another?” Asked thatch making you raise the envelope and put it in shanks’ hands “What is it?” he asked making you grin but you didn’t say anything.

He finally let go of the man and opened the envelope, reading it slowly. You smiled as his expression turned from confusing to deep concentration “really?” he questioned looking up and you nodded, he looked between the letter then you then the letter then you. Making you smile more. “What’s in it yoi?” Marco asked curiosity getting the best of him, tears slipped from your eyes as shanks also was on the verge of crying.

“I’m- I’m- hahaha I’M GONNA BE A DAD! I’M GONNA BE A FATHER!” he shouted as he hugged you and spun you around.

Yes, you were pregnant! When did you find out? About two weeks ago? Before shanks woke up by a day or two.

You decided this would be the best day to tell everyone the news which was great since right now, shanks is being chased by a mother hen who’s pretty much agitated because he touched me.
