Chapter twenty-eight

"alright! Don't panic! You're only near the main headquarters of the navy, it's nothing serious. All you gotta do is go under the radar and find shanks then do your main entrance video! Yeah!" you sighed as you held your child closer to your chest and begun walking away from the headquarters and blending in with the crowd.

You were not exactly blending in since you were wearing some of your past self's clothes which had probably went extinct right now but they were really cute! It was just a nice light blue shirt with Black trousers, which nearly was the same as your timeline's clothes. You took your phone from your pocket and dialed shanks' number, the phone was on it's last 10% which made you slightly panicked "Hello?" shanks' voice rang from the other side which made you smile "Shanks! It's me! I'm finally back! Can you come pick me up? I'm kinda stuck near the navy's headquarters right now" you muttered quietly "Honey?! You're back?!" you could practically feel him smiling through the phone "Yes! Hurry! My phone is nearly dead!" you grinned and your baby cooed "I'm coming, stay where you are" he said and hung up. You closed your phone and put it in your pocket then sighed and looked at your child "Papa is coming! Are you excited Kai?" you smiled "of course you are!" you chuckled as you cradled him in your arms.

20 minutes or so had passed and you were pacing back and forth in your spot. Your phone was on 1% and you knew it could die anytime soon. Finally you spotted a very familiar red haired someone make their way towards your direction, you were a bit panicking since Benn was with him but you knew. He hadn't the slightest clue why they were here. You three finally stood in front of each others, Benn staring at you shocked while shanks and you stared at each other not believing you were standing in front of each others again.

You smiled as you walked towards shanks and stood in front of him, Kai laughing brought shanks' attention and he looked at the child then back at you over and over again "My... Child...? My baby boy... Kai.." he smiled as he reached over hesitantly and held Kai in his arms tearing up.

You turned to Benn and smiled "Where's my welcome back hug?" you chuckled as he immediately wrapped you in a tight hug "There, there. I hope shanks haven't been causing you trouble" you laughed patting his back "But how?! I saw you die!" He questioned making you laugh "That's a long story, that you don't have to know" he sighed and ruffled your hair "Welcome back from the dead then" he grinned and you let go of him then you turned to shanks and hugged him silently.

You both didn't need to talk for you to understand each others, just a small gesture was enough for you to understand what the other meant. "Home?" smiled shanks "yes please" you whispered softly.

You four went to an isolated base that nobody knew of so you could rest and do your special return video later.

You and shanks were in a room alone while Benn took care of Kai. Shanks was sitting on the bed while you were on his laps leaning on him, he ran his hand through your hair smoothly calming you down "Might explaining why you stayed so long in the past?" he questioned "to Keep Kai safe.. and to get stronger... if I returned 6 months ago, we'd both be dead" you answered as you held his other hand and begun doing circles on it "I see... he's 4 months old now huh?" he chuckled "Yeah.. I'm sorry shanks... I didn't mean to separate you and Kai for so long... but I was scared... I didn't want anything to happen to him... I can't lose my only child like that..." you sniffled then looked up at shanks "You.. you forgive me right...?" You added "I'm a little bit mad but I will forgive on one condition" he grinned "Fix everyone, they're so damn depressed even if 10 months had passed" he added frowning a bit "That's an easy condition" you smiled as you kissed his cheek "Now let's go! And do my main entrance video!" you added excitedly.

You stood in front of the camera smiling, the mic was attached to your shirt while shanks and Benn stood outside the camera frame.
