O P E N I N G

A nature lover's gaze rests upon the earth
With appreciation for each leaf and every birth.
 A vision of beauty and wonder unfold
As the world unfurls in its infinite bold.

In contrast, a greed-driven mind sees only riches
From hidden oil beneath the earth's surface.
A world of dollar signs and resource-rich caves
Where the earth is a means to wealth, a slave.

The contrast between the two is stark
And highlights the choices between good and dark.
For the nature lover, the earth is sacred
And should be protected, for it is truly majestic.

But for the wealthy few, the earth is a mine
To be exploited, regardless of the price.
For they know not the beauty that it holds
And only see a way to accrue riches and gold.

A story of a woman's love for green
crossing paths with a man, with an eye for Gold
when stranded together, two enemies
Here is a story, a romance never told
