I caught her staring at me as I bent down to pick up a dry twig from the ground. She immediately looked away, possibly hoping I wouldn't have noticed, but I did. And I think she knew that as well.
My lips curved into a light smirk as I picked up the twig and then proceeded to pick up the next one. There was a comfortable silence between us ever since that moment. And that moment kept repeating in my head like a broken record.
It wasn't my first kiss. I had kissed other people before, but this was the first one I genuinely enjoyed... and wanted to redo a few more times.
"That's enough firewood, don't you think?" I heard her soft voice speak as she turned to me with a bundle of firewood in her hands.
Straight after getting out of the water, we decided to collect some firewood since it was already evening. That way we could light up a nice campfire and eat something, while for once not despising each other.
"Hmm yeah" I hummed and gave her a small nod before walking to her. "I could carry that for you" I suggested and the girl raised her eyebrow before giving me a small smile.
"Really?" She asked, cutely tilting her head.
It really wasn't like me to ever offer her any help. If at all, I'd always make things harder for her.
Seeing her smile instead of frowning was... nice.
"Yeah," I said as I took the bundle of wood from her. She smiled and looked down for a second before looking back up at me.
"Thanks," She said softly, her smile still visible and bright.

Minho and I were able to make a nice warm campfire after reaching the cave, and we both sat by each other instead of sitting face-to-face like the previous nights. My eyes were on the flames and I had a soft smile on my lips.
I turned my head to the side, glancing at Minho. He too looked at the fire, and his posture looked relaxed. As if he noticed that I was looking, he turned to me and his lips immediately curved into a small smile too.
"I think I'm warming up to you," I said, honestly.
It was bold of me to say so, but I had a feeling that I could be that comfortable around him.
He chuckled softly, moving his hand toward mine which was placed beside me as I sat on the ground. He gently placed his hand on mine, his index lightly brushing against my thumb. My heart did a flip at that moment as my eyes widened slightly. I looked down at our hands before looking at him with that same flustered expression.
"I think I am too..." He said. There was a moment of silence between us. He looked at our hands that touched and sighed before looking at me once more.
"There's something I don't understand" He then muttered, his eyebrows furrowing slightly.
I looked at him, tilting my head curiously.
"How did you... make me fall for you?" He asked, scooting closer to me. My heart sped up a bit and I looked away, avoiding his gaze.
The more I looked at him, the more nervous I felt.
"Um- I didn't do anything-" I said quickly, my head still facing away from him.Did he really fall for me?
Have I really fallen for him too?
If so... what are we!?
But is that even what he means?
What if he meant that in a friendly way!?"You did. You always did. It just took me this long to realize when it happened" I heard Minho speak. He took back his hand from mine and placed both his hands around his knees as he sat. His head was turned to me, still smiling.
I turned to look at him once more. "So... when did you..?" I asked softly, looking at him curiously.
"...You tell me, I have no idea" he replied with a soft chuckle, turning his head to the fire, smiling.
I stared at him for a moment as I watched the warm light of the flames fall on his features. His smile that remained caused one of my own to form as I looked at the fire as well.

I have always heard that Hyeji was quiet at first meet, but as you get to know her, you'll find her as someone who wouldn't shut her mouth.
Now I can confirm that.
After that one serious topic, she randomly began asking me questions she never thought of for years; like my favorite color, what my favorite dishes were, if I had any pets, and if I had ever wanted to strangle anyone to death in my life-
She had done the most talking. I just found myself listening, and occasionally spacing out while staring at her face; her features were getting more distracting by the minute.
But I couldn't lie. I loved her blabbering. I loved how she went on and on about every topic we talked about. It may have just been the first time I had such a conversation with someone. well, it certainly felt like it, and to be honest, it was nice.
A smile formed on my lips as I turned my head to the side to glance at the girl who was leaning her head against my shoulder, sound asleep.
"I didn't think you'd shut up" I whispered as I looked at her closed eyelids, her eyelashes, and that small smile on her lips.
"But now that you did... I already miss your voice"
I sighed as the thought spoke loud, but not loud enough to be muttered. I crossed my arms as I closed my eyes and gently rested my head against hers. It felt oddly comfortable like this, or perhaps I just like her presence.
No... I definitely like her presence.
