"Do we have to collect firewood now? I hate getting soaked! Can't we do this later!?" I heard Minho whine from behind as he held a stack of slightly damp twigs we collected. I rolled my eyes and sighed softly before turning to him.

"Yes. We need this firewood for the night! And I think even you can tell that the storm would last at least till next morning" I said, holding out a twig I picked up from the ground.

He groaned and looked away. "Fine! Let's just... get this over with" he said, snatching the twig from my grasp and keeping it in the twig stash in his hand.

The sound of light raindrops hitting gracefully on the leaves above and around us could be heard. Thunder rumbled from a distance, and the atmosphere slowly became chillingly cold.

The next few minutes were spent collecting the branches and twigs that had fallen on the forest floor due to the heavy wind. After collecting enough, we had barely made it into the small cave right before the rain began pouring heavily on the island.

A small sigh left Minho's lips as he dropped the stash he was carrying near the previous campfire we built. He then plopped down and looked at me and let out a small breath before speaking.

"I think I should've left you in that quicksand. I'm drenched now!" He said, closing his eyes as he lay down on the ground, almost as if he was exhausted.

Earlier the same day, we were picking some twigs when all of a sudden I started feeling the sensation of sinking into the ground. I was quick to realize the danger I was in and Minho was even quicker to pull me out before the situation detoured.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head slightly. He was being a little too dramatic after his hair got wet- his shirt was barely wet; although it was sticking to his body slightly.

That's when I noticed it... The outlines of his muscles on his torso; his chest and abs as his chest rose and fell slowly with every breath he was taking.

"what the heck am I doing..." I mumbled silently to myself before lightly tapping on my cheeks and shaking my head. Pushing back a weird emotion I felt, I walked over to the campfire that was now mere ashes and began placing the twigs in its place.

It was now late afternoon, but it seemed more like nightfall due to the storm.

"Nature" I scoffed as I uttered the word in my mind.

It had always been against humans. If it could not kill it, it would do its best to make one's life a nightmare.

Just then, a cold gush of wind brushed against my already cold body and I quivered. A silent curse left my lips as I opened my eyes and sat up on the ground, holding my arms around my body.
