(that's a real picture I took 😍🤟)
The announcement was made to the rest of the employees. And the news spread like wildfire through the entire city within minutes. People began flocking around the building, including some of whom claimed to be the family of the people who were on the osprey.
Reporters were there too, begging desperately for the security to let them in to gather the information the city thirsted for.
"Sir, It's chaos down there," Felix said as he knocked on the head office door. It flung open a second later and Hyunmin stood in front of him. He sighed before nodding a bit.
"I guess we should give them some answers then," The man said, smiling slightly and fixing his posture to look as professional as possible. Felix seemed a bit concerned but nodded nonetheless and led the older male to an elevator.
meanwhile...
Chan was in his his tiny little office, gently inspecting the leaves of a plant when he heard someone kick open the door. He flinched and looked behind him, eyes widened.
"Channie! You have to see this!" Jeongin said as he sprinted in, holding his phone in the air. Stopping in front of the older male, he showed the screen and Chan narrowed his eyes as he read what was on it.
"wreckage of an osprey and... an unidentified boat found on Green Gold island?" The male read out, confused. He processed what he read for a few seconds before his eyes widened and he quickly snatched the phone from Jeongin and read the rest of the article.
The phone slipped out from his grasp but the owner of it was quick to make a save. He held his phone close to his chest and let out a sigh before looking at Chan with a small pout.
"I already dropped this once today. you can't drop it again" He mumbled before wiping the screen with the sleeves of his striped long-sleeved shirt. He then glanced at Chan, who stood frozen as if he was in shock at what he saw.
"Channie..." Jeongin spoke and Chan looked at the younger male. Chan felt his throat drying up, his chest clenching a bit as he saw how the younger male looked at the screen and then at him.
He knew no matter what the younger was going to ask, he would want a 'no' as an answer.
"This is... the same island noona went to right?" He asked quietly.

I noticed how she was silent after I said that I cared- she was in shock, and I couldn't blame her. I was always the last person to 'care'
I gently let go of her cheeks and stepped back, clearing my throat. "But.. if you want to see them... I could show you where I buried them?" I spoke suggestively.
The girl's small frown was no longer there. Her eyes showed a hint of curiosity but also hurt, and sadness.
"That's... okay" She mumbled, looking down. "I don't think I can take it. seeing that" She admitted, shrugging lightly.
My gaze softened as I looked at her and nodded in understanding.
Silence filled between us, and I was running through thoughts, not knowing what to say. How should I comfort her? Does she want me to comfort her? What if I hug her? Will that be too cheesy?
"So.. what's in that box?" Her voice got me out of the little thought bubble I was stuck in. I looked at her before glancing down at the box that was placed a few feet away.
"Some packets of ramen, protein bars, coffee packets, and a first aid kit-" As I spoke, I noticed how her face shifted to one of interest at the mention of first aid.
Hyeji walked over to the box, kneeling next to it before opening it. She immediately took out the first aid kit, a small relieved smile forming on her lips.
I froze for a moment.
That might just be the first genuine smile I saw from her. Or was it? I couldn't even remember. Why does she have to make me feel this? Why am I noticing every single little thing she does?

When he muttered 'First aid kit', I was beyond relieved. What luck it was.
I quickly knelt next to the box and picked up the first aid kit, setting it down on the floor before I took a seat right beside it. A relieved smile formed on my lips I opened the kit and my eyes scanned across everything.
I let out a small chuckle from relief as I then looked at my legs. I brought my feet closer to me and took off my shoe. It stung when I had removed it. I then removed the blood-stained sock I had used to tie my wound to control the bleeding.
A while ago, it felt numb, but after I woke up today, the was back, and all I had done was just bear with it.
I sighed softly and then reached to grab a bottle of disinfectant from the kit and a few tissues. Minho was watching everything a few feet away, his face showing a slight bit of concern.
"Does it hurt?" He asked, taking a step closer.
I glanced up at him, gently blowing away a few strands of hair that fell on my face. I raised an eyebrow at him. "It's bearable," I said before looking down at my injured leg.
I then took in a deep breath before applying the disinfectant; I knew it was going to sting, but being aware of it didn't reduce the burning sensation on my skin.
I hissed in pain.
I closed my eyes for some time, and after the pain had finally subsided, I opened my eyes and took the bandaid. After applying the stinging disinfectant on my legs, it itched every time I moved my leg, so wrapping it up correctly was a harder task than it was meant to me.
I tried to wrap it around my feet, but my slightly trembling hands were not making it possible to tighten in right. It was almost getting a little too frustrating... until I felt the bandaid being snatched out of my grip.
I looked at Minho as he knelt in front of me, taking my leg up, and placing it on his knee before beginning to wrap the bandaid. I was about to protest, but I couldn't. The way he gently and carefully wrapped it around my wound, the way the slight brush of his fingers on my soft skin sent small shivers down my spine, made me freeze up slightly.
"There... Is it better?" He asked, lifting his gaze to meet mine as he gently placed my leg down. I stared into his eyes, wordless for a couple of seconds before nodding quickly and looking away.
I could feel my cheeks heating up after that eye contact. I felt my heartbeat rise too.
"Th-Thanks" I muttered and facepalmed myself in my head for stuttering.
Why am I feeling so flustered that he helped me right now?
