After what felt like an eternity of walking around in the forest, seeking a good shelter from the elements of nature, I finally found myself somewhere that I thought would be a good place to spend the night.
That was until... I noticed the faint luminesce coming from that exact direction.
Realisation hit me; that I had been walking in circles all this time only to double back to the same little cave where that entitled CEO was probably rest asleep now.
I wanted to turn around and walk away, find myself another place to stay the night, but the sun had already gone past the horizon, leaving a dark red sky that was slowly turning pitch black. The air felt freezing, every gust of wind like one of a cold stormy night.
I looked at the little cave from a distance once more. There was a fire inside. It could warm me- but then again, I could go find myself another cave and make my own fire; but what if I never found it? What if I freeze to death? What if I just stupidly stumble into something that could potentially be a risk to my life; I've seen plenty of things on this unique island so far.
Heaving a sigh, my mind came to a final decision, and eventually, I found myself taking quiet steps toward the little cave.
I wondered what Minho would say. He would probably mock me- or annoy me. Or make fun of me for coming back.
I slowly looked through the entrance of the cave as my eyes searched for his figure, and when I finally saw him, my eyes softened on their own as I stepped into the cave.
There laid Lee Minho, by the flames, all curled up as if he was trying to find the warmth he so desperately wanted.
His hair was a mess, each rough strand overlapping on the other and yet, positioned so perfectly on his face as he slept.
He looked... less annoying this way.
I slowly stepped closer to the flame, sitting on the other side of it. I placed my hand out at the flames and sighed in relief when I felt it warm up my cold fingertips. I then looked past my fingers, past the flames, and at him once more.
He seemed peaceful- but maybe he was just tired after attempting and failing to catch a single fish today; I can't blame him. I too felt like I might pass out now that the fire had given me some sort of comfort.
Yawning softly, I lay down, caring less about the uncomfortable uneven ground under me. I just wanted to get some rest for now. I then closed my tired eyes, letting myself drift into my own dream world by the small flickering flame.

I woke up to the feeling of sunlight kissing every inch of my face and that uneasy gut feeling of some type of insect crawling on my back.
I opened my eyes, my body shivering as I reached to touch my back, and a small sigh left my lip when all it was but a dried leaf stuck on my shirt. I took the leaf off and dropped it beside me before sitting up.
For a few minutes I struggled to keep my eyes awake and I almost did drift off to sleep... until I saw her peaceful figure on the other side of the burnt ashes that served as a campfire the previous night.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Why was she here? Didn't she decide to set off on her own?
She probably got scared when it got dark and decided to come to me for some sort of safety, right? I mean- that seemed pretty accurate to me. The thought made me grin a little before my smile dropped, and my face hardened slightly as I saw her move a little.
She rose up from her slumber, sitting down and wiping her eyes. Her hair was a bit messy, with particles of sand and soil here and there. Her skin was sun-kissed as she was in the golden morning light.
"So," I said, brushing off myself before standing up. Her face darted at me as she opened her sleepy eyes.
The hazel color of her eyes was dazzling in the sunlight.
I sighed, looking down with a faint smile, and stepped toward her before kneeling down. I reached my hand at her and gently held her chin between my thumb and index, and my eyes drifted down to meet hers, which were confused and slightly shocked.
"Didn't think you'd return... did you miss me?" I asked, my voice coming out quiet, yet slightly low and raspy since I had woken up not long ago.
I was expecting her to angrily slap my hand away. Maybe even yell at me for doing that- Honestly, it was a bit entertaining. But unlike how I expected, she just stared at me, almost shocked and unable to respond.
I almost thought that she wouldn't respond- but then she blinked a bit and lightly smacked my hand away before standing up. Without another word being uttered out of her rose-tinted lips, she turned around and walked toward the exit of our shelter- but as she turned, my eyes caught a faint blush on her cheeks.
Was she... blushing?
Why was she blushing? Was she flustered?- no I am probably just seeing things. She's probably still mad about the 'octopus incident.'
I then sighed before walking after her.
