( narrator's POV)

"I think I see the island now!" Beomgyu said as he narrowed his eyes ahead, standing as his hand was firm on the helm. 

Jeongin stood up to look ahead and so did Felix, and the younger of the two smiled in relief. Just then, the boat shook slightly, and he lost his balance- but the blonde next to him was quick to grab him before he slipped off his feet.

Jeongin's eyes widened as Felix pulled him closer to his chest and held the male close. He looked up, meeting the older's dark brown eyes that looked at him adoringly. 

"You alright?" Felix asked. 

Jeongin felt his heartbeat rise a bit. The sudden closeness between him and the blonde made him nervous and he quickly nodded to the other's question before sitting back in his place.

A small amused chuckle left Felix's lips as he noticed the change in behavior from the younger, and he too then sat down. 

Beomgyu blinked at the two of them, opening his mouth to say something, but decided to just let it be. 

To him, it just felt like they were dating- although he had asked this a few more times now, their answers were always the same. Felix gave out hints from time to time, but his friend was definitely in denial and Beomgyu noticed it all.

fifteen minutes or so passed after that, and the boat had finally reached the shore. Beomgyu dropped the anchor while Felix and Jeongin took the box of supplies they had and jumped to the shore. Moments later, the long-haired male also joined the duo.

The three of them looked around in awe of their surroundings; the white beach was something, and the large, dense forest up ahead was rich and mysterious. 

"We should go find Hyeji-" Jeongin was about to run into the forest, but Beomgyu was quick to grab a hold of the male's hand, yanking him back to the other two. 

"Don't run off, or we'll have to find you before anyone else" The long-haired male spoke, narrowing his eyes at his friend who looked at the forest again. He knew that all Jeongin had in mind right now was finding his sister and making sure she was safe. 

"Let's find a place to camp first... that way we'll cover up some ground while also finding a shelter" Felix suggested to which Beomgyu agreed with a thumbs up. Jeongin sighed and nodded as well.

The three then began their walk ahead, into the forest, making sure they didn't go too deep or away from the beach. As they made their way, they could hear the sounds of insects and birds, small mice, and disturbing hisses here and there.

"This place is actually so cool" Beomgyu muttered as he picked out his phone after a while and began recording whatever he was seeing. Jeongin raised an eyebrow at his friend. Indeed, it had flora and fauna he had never seen before- but that made him cautious. 

Some more steps into the forest later, Felix noticed something from the corner of his eye. "What's that?" He asked as he pointed ahead. The two male's gazes followed the direction the blonde pointed to and they also noticed it.

There were branches and vines cut off- as if someone had made a pathway.

"Maybe it leads to something," Felix said, moving his finger toward the direction where the path was obviously leading to the beach, but upon realizing it, he moved his finger in the other direction. "This way," The freckled male said, walking ahead.
