Thank goodness I'm not the type to get obnoxiously seasick- and neither was my colleague, Pan.

She and I had been holding up pretty well despite the constant rocking of the speed boat as it made through the waves.

Though... Iseul was another story.

He had thrown up at least three times by now and he probably had run out of energy too.

Poor guy is just laying on his head on his girlfriend's lap, trying to focus on anything but this awful weather we had to travel in.

The sky looked totally normal when we departed from the dock though- I guess the storm just decided to surprise us.

By now, from a distance, we were able to see a bit of the island whenever a wave took the boat higher. I must admit though, I did fear that our boat might just flip over but the crew confirmed they've dealt with worse weather, so we had faith in them.

And yes, by 6 hours, we had entered the lagoon, and we were making our way to the island. It was just a fifteen to twenty-minute wait before we reach the shores.

But all of a sudden I heard a loud noise.

It sounded like a crack of thunder, but louder than any I had heard. It even almost sounded like an explosion, but I wasn't sure.

After the loud 'crack!', another weird noise followed. And it turned out that the rest of the crew heard it too. And oddly, the noise just kept on getting louder and louder.

Out of curiosity, I stood up from my seat and walked to the back of the boat, holding the railing, and then, I heard it even more clearly. I still didn't know what it was... until I lifted my head up a little.

My eyes widen.

All of a sudden, neither fight nor flight was an option.

All I could think of was dive.

And before I knew it, I had jumped into the water. And merely seconds later, I heard an almost deafening sound of something crashing.
