I was never the type of person to wait for things; when I wanted something, I get it. Instantly.

Everyone knew I hated waiting.

Everyone knew my patience runs thin within minutes.

Then how did I end up sitting with legs crossed on a beach of a deserted island, staring at the horizon for almost half an hour?

Obviously, my determination to prove that I was right. I know rescue copters don't normally come scout these areas anymore, but the captain must have sent some sort of distress signal right?

I sighed, looking at the horizon, seeing no signs of anyone coming.

Maybe she was right... Maybe no one really is coming, at least not this quick-

I frowned, shaking my head a bit. Did I just really just think that? Did I, Lee Minho, think Yang Hyeji was right?

Maybe, but just for this once.

Maybe this one time she was right.

I let out a sigh, standing up from the ground, brushing off some sand particles before turning around and seeing nothing but sand and greens.

"She really did wander off"

I let out another quiet sigh.  "Might as well go find her" I thought to myself.

Nightfall was approaching and I knew I needed to find a good shelter for the night- so I ventured into the island, into the forest.

My soggy shoes were quite uncomfortable but I'd rather wear them than accidentally step on a scorpion while walking barefoot. I've already spotted two tiny ones with vicious stings and I'm only a few minutes into the forest.

I knew those tiny creatures were lurking beneath those dead leaves and branches; only a fool would walk barefoot here.

I could hear faint sounds of small critters around me, like the crickets that were probably stunned by the disturbance of a new visitor in their home, the bats from a distance, some mice squeaking, and a bone-chilling hiss right in my earlobe.
