"Y/n!"
You were roused from your sleep by the voice of your roommate. Over the past month of living with him, you'd come to think of him as an alarm clock.

"Y/nnnnn! I'm hungry!"
The little flower demanded again as you slowly sat up.

"Goodness, Flowey, relax. I'm up now, give me a second."
Tiredness in your voice was evident as your body shifted into a stretch.

"It feels like I've been up for hours, I don't wanna give you more seconds!"
The little flower continued to complain.

"Well you do realize that even if I do get up right now, you still have to wait for the food to cook right?"
You asked him, glancing in his direction as you fixed your bed after getting out of it.

Flowey fell silent after that, his expression falling to one of his usual grumpy ones.
"Whatever, just get up!"

With a small sigh you laugh and pick him up, leaving the room and setting your potted roommate down on the counter in the kitchen.
You'd come to notice he seemed to like watching you cook. He'd never say that out loud though.

A peaceful silence settled over the both of you as you started to prepare your meal. Today would start off with a simple scrambled eggs and some toast with jams and jelly.
Flowey wasn't really a picky eater and he honestly didn't really have much of a preference for anything.

Halfway through your morning meal, you heard a knock on the door. Wondering who it was, you excused yourself and went to open it.

"Hello my dear Y/n, I hope we did not come by too early in the day."
You smiled upon seeing Toriel at the door with Frisk in tow.

"No no, we were just having breakfast actually, would you like some?"
Inviting them inside, you gestured towards the table, grateful you actually had some extra food.

"Well, I suppose if Frisk doesn't mind waiting a little longer?"
The motherly goat turned to face the child, the question aimed at them.
They quickly said they didn't mind and would indeed like some of your food.

"Oh, what are you waiting for?"
You asked curiously while you grabbed a couple more plates and served them the remaining food.

"That's why we came over so early actually, Frisk wanted to go to a new park that just opened at the town on the surface and we wanted to see if you'd come along."
Toriel explained as she quietly thanked you for the food, beginning to eat some eggs after she spoke.

"Ah, a new park you say...gee, I don't know."
You hesitated.
You hadn't been to the surface at all ever since you were found in Snowdin and even still after Frisk had removed the barrier. You didn't know what it was like up there.

"We understand that you might have some reservations about going to the surface but I can assure you that the others will be there as well and we'll be together the whole time."
Toriel tried to be reassuring upon hearing your hesitance.

Frisk put a hand on yours, urging you to please come along. They understood that you might be scared but as the ambassador of monsters, they had made sure this park would be safe for everyone. That and they really wanted to hang out with you on the surface too.

Before you could give them another response, Flowey spoke up with a grumble.
"Ugh! What about me? Is no one going to ask if I feel like going??"

In response, Frisk immediately said something along the lines of since he didn't have any legs he couldn't really have a say in where he was taken.
Of course, Toriel quickly told Frisk to not word it so rudely.
Flowey didn't say anything after that, a small scowl stuck on his face.
