After pulling away to stay undefeated in conference play, the Quinnipiac Bobcats return to M&T Bank Arena to play the Rensselaer Engineers tonight in Hamden. With 15:32 left in the first period, Sam Lipkin scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 11:04 left in the first period, Victor Czerneckianair scored his third goal of the season to make it 2-0 Bobcats. With 8:30 left in the first period, Desi Burgart scored his third goal of the season to make it 3-0 for Coach Pecknold's Bobcats. Rensselaer Coach Dave Smith pulled Jack Watson out of the net and so, Carson Cherepak filled in for the remainder of the game. Yaniv Perets and Cherepak matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-0 Bobcats it remains heading to the second period. With 16:27 left in the second period, Joey Cippollone scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 4-0 Quinnipiac. With 13:13 left in the second period, Ryan Mahshie scored to make it 4-1 Bobcats. With 10:34 left in the second period, Christophe Fillion scored his first goal of the season to make it 5-1 for Coach Pecknold's Bobcats. With 10:09 left in the second period, Michael Lombardi scored his sixth goal of the season to make it 6-1 Quinnipiac. With 7:14 left in the second period, Collin Graf scored his eighth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 7-1 Bobcats. With 57 seconds left in the second period, Jake Johnson scored his third goal of the season to make it 8-1 Quinnipiac. Perets and Cherepak matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Quinnipiac is cruising 8-1 heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 19:39 left in the third period, Sutter Muzzatti scored to make it 8-2 Bobcats. With 13:51 left in the third period, Ryan Mahshie scored to make it 8-3 for the men from Hamden! Chase Clark finished off the Engineers and Quinnipiac body slams Rensselaer 8-3! Quinnipiac improved to 13-1-3 on the season and 9-0-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
