After a disappointing end to the ECAC Hockey tournament, the Quinnipiac Bobcats head to Bridgeport,Connecticut to play the Merrimack College Warriors with a spot in the regional championship game in the next game. Yaniv Perets and Zachary Borgiel matched zeros in the first period so, no score after a period of play in Bridgeport. With 18:04 left in the second period, Joey Cipollone scored his seventh goal of the season to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 16:31 left in the second period, Jacob Quillan scored his fifteenth goal of the season to make it 2-0 Bobcats. Perets and Borgiel matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 in favor of Coach Pecknold's Bobcats heading to the third period. With 13:32 left in the third period, Michael Lombardi scored his tenth goal of the season to make it 3-0 Quinnipiac. With 5:19 left in the third period, Jacob Quillan scored his sixteenth goal of the season to make it 4-0 Bobcats. With 1:29 left in the third period, Sam Lipkin scored his thirteenth goal of the season, into an empty net to make it 5-0 Quinnipiac! Yaniv Perets finished off the Warriors and Quinnipiac will play for a regional championship because of a 5-0 clobbering of Merrimack!
