After a tremendous performance in the regular season, the Quinnipiac Bobcats begin the quest for the Whitelaw Cup as they play host to the Yale University Bulldogs this weekend for the right to head to Lake Placid. Yaniv Perets and Luke Pearson matched zeros in the first period so, no score after one period of play between two teams that hate each other. With 18:08 left in the second period, Jacob Quillan scored his thirteenth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 6:59 left in the second period, Iivari Rasanen scored his second goal of the season to make it 2-0 Bobcats. Perets and Pearson matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 for Coach Pecknold's Bobcats it stands heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 19:42 left in the third period, Zach Metsa scored his seventh goal of the season, on the power play to make it 3-0 Quinnipiac! Yaniv Perets finished off the Bulldogs and Quinnipiac wins 3-0! Quinnipiac takes a 1-0 series lead hoping to sweep the weekend with a win tomorrow!
