After dominating the competition in Bridgeport, the Quinnipiac Bobcats appear in the Frozen Four for the first time in seven years as they play the Michigan Wolverines for the right to play for the ultimate prize. With 14:42 left in the first period, Jacob Quillan scored his seventeenth goal of the season to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 13:11 left in the first period, Seamus Casey scored to tie the game 1-1. With 8:39 left in the first period, Jacob Quillan scored his eighteenth goal of the season to make it 2-1 Bobcats. Yaniv Perets and Erik Portillo matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Quinnipiac leads 2-1 heading to the second period. With 9:45 left in the second period, Adam Fantilli scored to tie the game 2-2. Perets and Portillo matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, Quinnipiac and Michigan are tied 2-2 heading to another all important third period. With 18:36 left in the third period, Sam Lipkin scored his fourteenth goal of the season to make it 3-2 Quinnipiac. With 7 minutes left in the third period, Zach Metsa scored his ninth goal of the season to make it 4-2 Bobcats. With 1:45 left in the third period, Ethan de Jong scored his nineteenth goal of the season into an empty net to make it 5-2 Quinnipiac! Yaniv Perets finished off the Wolverines and Quinnipiac will play for college hockey's ultimate prize, the national championship on Saturday night because of a 5-2 win over Michigan!
