After a dominant win last night, the Quinnipiac Bobcats return to M&T Bank Arena to play for the Connecticut Ice Championship as they play an extremely talented UCONN team today. With 14:08 left in the first period, Skyler Brind'Amour scored his eleventh goal of the season, on the power play to make it 1-0 Quinnipiac. With 7:26 left in the first period, Justin Pearson scored to tie the game 1-1. With 1:40 left in the first period, Ethan de Jong scored his twelfth goal of the season to make it 2-1 Bobcats. Yaniv Perets and Arsenil Sergeev matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-1 for Coach Pecknold's Bobcats heading to the second period. With 1:30 left in the second period, Samu Salminen scored to tie the game 2-2. With 22 seconds left in the second period, Hudson Schandor scored to make it 3-2 UConn. Perets and Sergeev matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 3-2 Huskies it remains heading to the third period. With 15:21 left in the third period, Ethan de Jong scored his thirteenth goal of the season, on the power play to tie the game 3-3. With 4:21 left in the third period, Jake Johnson scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 4-3 Bobcats! Yaniv Perets finished off the Huskies and Quinnipiac wins 4-3! Quinnipiac improved to 20-3-3 on the season!
