Chapter 7
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Aiden and Hayden were walking to their next class, which happened to be transfiguration. "By the way Ron," Aiden said suddenly, the redhead turned his head backwards. "What are you supposed to do with your broken wand?" He asked. Ron thought for a moment before taking said wand out of his pocket. "I mean... I fixed up a bit..." he said, looking at his taped-up wand. Aiden chuckled.
"That wand is not gonna cut it, Ron," Hayden said, joining the conversation. "You're wand is not properly gonna be able to cast spells." He continued.
"Well, it will be able to cast a spell, just not correctly, I read about it in a book Hermione showed me." Hayden finished, looking over at Hermione who nodded along. Ron shoved his wand back into his pocket and turned back around. Harry sped up to walk next to Ron, who looked slightly annoyed. "I could... like buy you a new wand?" Harry asked him, Ron looked at him, becoming more annoyed. "No, I won't let you buy me a new wand, your bloody mental!" Harry was taken aback by his sudden outburst.
"Why not?"
"Simple, I won't let you waste your money on me."
Ron was the one that sped up now and quickly entered the Transfiguration classroom. "Why did he act like that?" Harry asked, not anyone in specific, just in general. "It's quite normal behaviour. Hermione's like that too." Aiden said, Hermione turned his way with a glare.
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
"Well, you see, when buying you something, like the gift on your birthday." He began and Hermione looked down at the necklace she would put on every day. She took the chain in her hand and looked at it intently. It was her favourite piece of jewellery she owned. "You told me you didn't want a gift, but I still bought it, Ron is doing the same thing. He doesn't want Harry to buy him anything." Aiden concluded. Before any of his friends could comment on it, the bell rang, indicating the lessons were starting.
The four friends quickly entered the classroom, and upon doing so, they saw Ron sitting at the second desk on the right side of the classroom. Harry took a seat next to him, and Aiden and Hermione took the desk next to them, which would be the desk in the middle. In contrast, Hayden joined a girl behind them. The boy looked at the girl for a moment, she had shoulder-length blonde hair and green eyes. Hayden had seen her walk around the halls a few times but had never sat next to her, or talked to her for that matter. "Is this seat taken?" He asked, looking around the classroom, students were still walking around and perhaps someone was already sitting there. The girl turned towards him with a smile. "No, it's not." Hayden nodded and sat down.
He turned his head and smiled at the girl. "I'm Hayden." He held out his hand and waited for her to take it. The girl took his hand and shook it, her smile growing as she did so. "I'm Elena, it's nice to meet you, Hayden." He let go of her hand and just when he did, Professor McGonagall entered the classroom. The students who were still standing quickly went to their seats upon seeing the Professor.
"Could I have your attention please?" McGonagall started. "Right, Now today we will be transforming animals into water goblets." She finished. She took out her wand and went to stand next to her Hornbill. She pointed her wand at the animal but stopped when she saw a raised hand, this hand belonged to Aiden Fireheart. "Yes, Mr Fireheart?" She asked.
"Not really a question and I apologise for interrupting the lesson, but I must say that is quite an amazing bird, Professor!" He complimented. Professor McGonagall smiled at the boy. "Why thank you, Mr Fireheart." She turned back towards the pet. "Now, I will demonstrate the spell used and after that, you could all give it a try."
