Chapter 7:

It was a little after midnight and the twins were casually laying in bed, Aiden was fast asleep while Hayden was reading his book. He told Aiden he would put the book away soon but then the story got interesting, that was already an hour ago. At this point, it was better if he just finished the book, He'll just visit the library in the morning for a new book, no big deal. Well, this wasn't a big deal until he noticed Harry still wasn't back from his little trip. Hayden was starting to think the boy had been caught by a teacher and would now be facing some serious detention.

He was wrong though because moments later he heard loud footsteps come up the stairs, there also seemed to be some yelling involved. Hayden quickly threw his book against Aiden who sprung awake. "What..?" He said in an annoyed tone before looking down at the book that was thrown his way. Aiden looked at his brother who was covering his ears since he was just woken up he looked at his brother confused. "Cover your ears, dipshit!" Aiden did so without questioning any further and moments later Harry came in and stormed towards the boys' beds, Throwing off his invisible cloak. "Ron wake up!" He yelled, and the boys winced at his loudness. It surprised them that the other boys in the room didn't wake up from Harry's yelling. Guys-- Oh you're already awake." Harry said as he turned towards the boys, who still held their hands tightly on top of their ears. "Yeah we are but why are you yelling, it's past midnight," Hayden said, slightly glaring at the chosen one.

"Well, I found something that you all have to see."

"Sure, lead the way." Hayden sat up straight and climbed out of his bed, before walking over to Ron's bed, pulling off the covers and throwing them next to his bed. "Weasley, wake up." The redhead slowly sat up seeing the 2 boys towering over him. He looked around the room, noticing most boys still asleep, Including Aiden. "Why do I have to get up? Isn't it the middle of the night?" Hayden nodded. "Yeah but Potter wants to show us something." He walked to his brother's bed, taking his arm and dragging him out of bed, literally. The boy fell onto the wooden floor with a loud thud. "Uh, Ow." He said annoyed, rubbing his shoulder that hit the floor first. Hayden took a hold of his shirt and hoisted him up. "Let's go and get this over with, I'm nearing the end of the book." Hayden walked out of the room the three boys quickly followed, Harry clutching his cloak.

---

A door bursts open and the four boys quickly remove the invisibility cloak, somehow they all fit underneath it. "So what did you want to show us," Hayden asked, looking around the dark room.  Without answering, Harry ran further into the room, leaving the boy behind. "Don't walk away from me!" He raised his voice before going after him, Aiden following the boys, his eyes barely staying open. He turned the corner and was met by a huge mirror in the centre of the room. To him it looked rather old, having an insane amount of detailed decoration. "Look in properly," Harry said to Ron who eagerly did as he was told. "Go on, stand there." He added.

Hayden soon joined his brother and they stared at the two boys strangely. "Has he never seen a mirror before?" Aiden asked, finding it the most strange question he has ever had to ask because looking at Harry he seemed way too excited about a mirror. "It does look like that..." Hayden answered.

"Guys get over here! Promise it's not just a mirror! I saw my parents!"

This made the boys even more confused as his parents were deceased, and it was impossible for him to see them in a mirror. "Wait, Aiden... I think somethings written at the top of the mirror..." Aiden looked up and tried to read the words noted at the top. "Uh... Erised... Something..." He squinted his eyes trying to make the writings easier to read, although it seemed that didn't help a thing.

"Are you seriously squinting your eyes? Like that'll help." Hayden walked closer to the mirror and read over it a few times, making sure he read it correctly. "I think it's basically just the Mirror of Erised, the rest is not very clear..." he concluded. Aiden joined his brother and stood in front of the mirror, quietly staring into it. Only when his brother walked out of view is when he started seeing things appear. As the view got clearer he noticed an older version of himself, a brunette standing next to him, pressed against his side. Aiden's sleepiness wasn't making him any easier but he soon realised it was Hermione or well an older version of her. "...Okay, this mirror is quite cool..." He said still gazing into the mirror. Only then is when he noticed his hand. Something seemed wrong with it, it wasn't as visible because of the darkness in the room but he had noticed some spikey points attached to them...
