TEMPEST

Annabeth volunteered to go alone since she had the cap of invisibility, but Percy convinced her it was too dangerous. Either we all went together, or nobody went (I wasn't about to tell them about some of my powers, since this is funnier).
"Nobody!" Tyson voted. "Please?"
But in the end he came along, nervously chewing on his huge fingernails. I pulled his hand away from his mouth and held it, since he was clearly nervous, and it seemed to make Tyson feel better. We stopped at our cabin long enough to gather our stuff. We figured whatever happened, we would not be staying another night aboard the zombie cruise ship, even if they did have million-dollar bingo. I made sure my kunai were in my pocket and some of the stuff Hermes had given me. Percy didn't want Tyson to carry everything, but he insisted, and Annabeth told Percy not to worry about it. Tyson could carry four full duffel bags over his shoulder as easily as I could carry my backpack.
I guess I should explain some more about being a ghost. See, I can touch things, as I'm sure you've realized. I can lift and throw and punch people, but the problem is I'm stuck with the strength I had when I died, which wasn't very much. I can use some of my powers to deal with the strength thing, but I mostly don't. Weaponizing my "incompetence" is actually a really good way to get people to lower their guard on you. And honestly, I'm not as weak as you might think. You gotta remember I was still a demigod. We're naturally stronger and faster and more durable than regular mortals. But, I'm not as strong as most demigods. Like Annabeth, for example. I kind of want to push her buttons and get her to throw a punch to see how strong she is.
We sneaked through the corridors, following the ship's YOU ARE HERE signs toward the admiralty suite. Annabeth scouted ahead invisibly. We hid whenever someone passed by, but most of the people we saw were just glassy-eyed zombie passengers.
As we came up the stairs to deck thirteen, where the admiralty suite was supposed to be, Annabeth hissed, "Hide!" and shoved us into a supply closet.
I heard a couple of guys coming down the hall.
"You see that Aethiopian drakon in the cargo hold?" one of them said.
The other laughed. "Yeah, it's awesome."
Annabeth was still invisible, but she squeezed my arm hard. I got a feeling she knew that second guy's voice. I also got a feeling she meant to squeeze Percy's arm and not mine, because she immediately stopped once she turned and realized it was me.
"I hear they got two more coming," the familiar voice said. "They keep arriving at this rate, oh, man- no contest!"
The voices faded down the corridor.
"That was Chris Rodriguez!" Annabeth took off her cap and turned visible, now looking at Percy. "You remember- from Cabin Eleven."
Realization slowly dawned on Percy's face. "What's another half-blood doing here?"
Annabeth shook her head, clearly troubled.
We kept going down the corridor. I didn't need maps anymore to know we were getting close to Luke. I sensed something cold and unpleasant- the presence of evil. Plus, Annabeth's face slowly got angrier.
