"Why won't you just tell them?" Oliver questioned as the three of us sat around eating and drinking coffee during our break- since that was all we could do with little to no customers this time of the year.

"Because" I sighed, slouching down in the plastic gray seat, "I already have Madison and Henry pressuring me to eat all the time and asking me what I ate, when, where- and staring at me to make sure I'm eating- I don't need that with them... plus" I sighed, "they'll think I'm pathetic if a girl made me do that to myself".

"No. Because they'll have to understand you were like a sixth to eighth grader- those things just- " Oliver paused and shrugged, "happen?"

I raised my brow and turned to Ivy, "did the same thing happen to you?"

"Hell no- maybe if I was in Middle school when you were I could've stopped you" she joked, bumping my shoulder just a little bit.

I laughed a little- still feeling a ping of sadness in my heart.

It was as if I couldn't stay happy for long before I became angry and sad at myself for not doing anything- for letting Harmony come into my life and take everyone I love.

Well, at least she couldn't take Ivy and Oliver.

They knew her- despite them both being slightly older than me, and they hated her.

"If you were in middle school with Max- everyone would be dead," Oliver said jokingly.

It was then when my phone dinged and I looked down- my heart began to pound.

Tabitha.

T: Hey
T: I know you probably won't answer but I just wanted to say that I miss you and I just wish you would talk to me- you can tell me anything- you know that, right? I really, really miss you and I don't mean all those times I said that five minutes after I saw you, I mean- can't do anything without thinking about you.
T: idk. Maybe you miss me too.. but I feel like something is missing and that something is you...
T: please talk to me- or, us, we really miss u.
. . .
Looking down at the message before me, I sucked in a breath of air. Damn it, why was she so cute? Why did she have to be so sweet? Why do I have to be in love with her?

I didn't answer, I just left her on read.

My shift would be over soon and I could go cry and- maybe Oliver and Ivy were right...

Maybe I had to tell them maybe it would be worth it- they were my friends- was them thinking I was sort of stupid a lot better than them thinking I hated them? Yes. Yes, it was.

I looked up at Oliver and Ivy, "I'm going to tell them".

A smile grew on the two's faces, "finally" Ivy groaned in annoyance but smiled to let me know she was kidding.
