Marc

I had been standing on the porch with Daniel and Jared, waiting on the arrival of the Dark River Alpha. We were discussing the email I had received right before coming outside: another rogue attack. It was the Crescent pack, who resided on the other side of the Dark River pack. This was the fourth attack in the last month. There was definitely something going on, I just didn't know what.

All of a sudden, the breeze brought the most mouth-watering smell: peaches. I turned toward the breeze and realized that two cars had pulled up. I immediately found the source of the scent and was met with deep blue eyes. I knew it was the daughter of either the Alpha or Beta, and I immediately knew I would be in trouble.

I turned to meet our guests, the guys following suit. We walked down the pathway from the porch just as Alpha Joe was sitting their bags down.

"Alpha Joe, welcome to the Blue Moon pack. If it is alright, we should make our way to my office. I received an email just before you arrived. The Crescent pack had an attack last night. I think it has become very urgent to try and figure out what is going on."

He nodded before placing a kiss on his mate's cheek.

"There is lunch set up in the dining room just inside for your Luna and the girls. Your warrior is welcome to join us, as my top warrior will be there. I think it will be helpful, in case we need to change security plans."

I watched as the younger male grabbed the bags from his car and the Beta grabbed the rest before making their way inside. Joe and his mate walked hand in hand up the steps and inside the house. The two younger girls followed suit, and I couldn't help but take an extra breath to catch that intoxicating scent. It definitely came from the Alpha's daughter. This was going to be a long weekend.

After about two hours of placing marks of all of the rogue attacks on the huge map on the conference desk, Jack brough lunch in for us. We had been so focused on the meeting that we didn't realize we forgot to eat. We took a break from the meeting, enjoying the amazing food that Jack put in front of us.

I had started tuning the other guys out, my mind going back to the mesmerizing blue eyes of Joe's daughter. There was something about her. The way her dark black hair paired perfectly with her tanned skin. How the tank top she was wearing made her eyes shine brightly. And then that scent. I had never smelt anything sweeter. I caught myself wondering if she tasted like peaches too and shook my head. Not the time.

Once we all finished eating, we continued with the meeting. We decided to send a few warriors each to the Crescent pack to see where the breach took place. We also agreed that both of our packs would increase the amount of patrol wolves. We weren't going to let these keep happening, at least not to our packs.

When we were all satisfied with the plan, we realized that it was into the evening. Jack would have dinner ready by now. I told the guys to go down and enjoy, but that I needed some air. Once I made it outside, I let Max take over. He had been pacing in the back of my mind all afternoon and was driving me crazy. I let our paws take me into the woods and decided to run the perimeter, just making sure.

It was late when I finished my run. I let Max have control for about two hours, and then finally shifted back. I was making my way back to the pack house when I heard noise coming from the pack gym.

I made my way to the opened door to see what was going on. There, in the middle of the gym, were two people sparring. I noticed it was the visiting Alpha's daughter and their Beta's son. Even though you don't get your wolf until you turn 18, you still get all of the benefits of the wolf before then. The Alpha's daughter, Lexi I think is her name, was holding her own against the Beta's son. She would probably give some of my warriors a run for their money. I decided to see just how strong she was already.

"Very impressive, Lexi."

They both snapped their heads toward me, too engrossed in their sparring to notice I had entered the gym. They both grabbed their waters as I made my way over to them. I couldn't help but run my gaze over the she-wolf. She was in nothing but some black shorts and a teal sports bra. It accentuated her sun-kissed skin perfectly. Her jet-black hair was piled messily on top of her head. Her long lashes framed her deep blue eyes. She was a gorgeous little wolf. I shook my head and remembered why I came into the gym.

"I was wondering, Lexi, if you would care to spar with me. My only challenge here is my Beta, Daniel, and I haven't met a she-wolf who could hold her own against her pack's top warrior. I promise I won't hurt you. I don't need to be on your father's bad side."

I saw a twinkle in Lexi's eye and knew she loved a challenge. I saw the Beta's son, Liam, smirk and take a seat against the wall. I wasn't expecting an audience, but what the hell. She tossed her water beside Liam, and we set up in the middle of the gym.

She immediately took a defensive stance, and I smirked. Offense was my favorite, and I was stronger than the average Alpha, so I rarely had to go on the defensive. We started easy. She met me punch for punch, blocking mine with ease. We did this for a good 20 minutes. Then we really heated things up. With each combination thrown, you could feel the tension from us. Both with Alpha blood, we both had a hunger to win.

I took my chance when I noticed she was going to attack. As soon as she threw her arm at me, I grabbed it and pulled her to the ground. I pinned her under me, showing that I had won. We both stayed like this, trying to catch our breath. I could feel the heat of her body as her chest heaved with each breath. I couldn't deny that it felt amazing. We were both staring at each other, neither wanting to break it first.

"Marc...." was all I heard before I crashed my lips to hers.
