 Lexi

I was a little surprised when Liam wrapped his arms around me once Marc stepped away. I always loved the way Liam held me at night, but now that the mate bond was in place between us, it felt even more natural. When he pressed his lips against mine, I could feel the tingles. It was like my body had a mind of its own as I wrapped my arms around Liam's neck, pushing my body against his. I could feel how excited he was and wanted to just go upstairs with him. Someone clearing their throat brought me out of my naughty thoughts.

I turned and saw Marc smirking at us. His eyes flashed silver for a brief moment then he winked at me. Liam kissed my forehead and then turned towards the door. I didn't have to look at Jess to know that she was shocked. The guys hadn't even made it out of the kitchen before she started, and I couldn't help but giggle.

"Lexi! What the hell?! Why did both of them kiss you, and why the hell were they both okay with it?"

I slowly turned to see the look on my best friend's face. It was priceless. I needed coffee before I could have this conversation. Even though I had no idea how to answer her. I walked to the coffee pot and grabbed fresh mugs from the rack beside it. I took my time making our cups, mainly to mess with her. I heard her pull a stool out, so I knew she was making herself comfortable.

I slid her mug across the counter and grabbed a donut from the box. I took a bite, and a small moan escaped my lips. These were seriously the best donuts ever. The chocolate glazed were my favorite. Definitely my favorite part of my birthday. Well, until today.

"Alright. You have your coffee and donut. Now spill."

Jess took a drink of her coffee, and I rolled my eyes. Where do I even begin? I don't think anyone has ever heard of this happening.

"Well, as you saw, Marc is my mate. When we went outside, we noticed Liam, Daniel, and the other two coming from the forest. Everything was fine until a breeze carried their scent to us. Lily, my wolf, started going crazy like she did when she said Marc was our mate. Once the group got closer, she said that your brother was also my mate. Marc and Liam were kind of jealous at first, but once they realized that I smelled the same to both of them, they relaxed. So, I have two mates."

I had been watching Jess the whole time. I didn't think her eyes could possibly get any bigger. It wouldn't have been so funny, if it wasn't for the fact that her mouth was wide open with her donut right in front of it. I couldn't help but laugh, which brought her out of her daze.

"Leave it to you to start our birthday with a bang. But how do you have two mates?"

I just shrugged and continued to drink my coffee.

"That would be the million-dollar question right now. Even Marc doesn't know. I think he was going to ask his father when they get back from their trip later. But enough about me. What about that make-out session that we walked in on?"

She got the biggest grin on her face. She finally took a bite of her donut while I topped off my coffee. I motioned for her to follow me out to the patio since it was such a nice day. I hadn't noticed the comfy looking chairs when I came out with Marc. We both took a chair and made ourselves comfortable. We both took a long sip of coffee, and her smile was back.
