CHAPTER ELEVEN
YOUNG PRINCE---*---
ETHERION REALM-Tahomma Kingdom-
Strokes of the gentle rays of the sun brushed throughout the kingdom of the Dark Guardians. One might end up wondering why their race was called 'Dark Guardians' when everything around them seemed so radiant—well, they had lived differently for the past centuries. Although war still took place between unwanted forces, they were living a peaceful life compared to the past.An aisle was formed by the citizens of Tahomma. A path made of bricks that created tapping sounds as their mighty heroes marched forward.
"Long live the Prince!"
"Long live the Young Princes!"
"Hurray!"
They cheered their names with the horns and trumpets. Flowers were thrown at them with pleasure and gratefulness. The young Dark Guardians were clapping their hands as the adults were shouting out their lungs. A feast was prepared on the main tables of the palace, and gatherings were formed under the names of their highnesses. However, before the main characters of the celebration finally celebrated their victory, a small assembly took place in a circular room.
The assembly consisted of the four dukes in their kingdom, who were in charge of training young knights and potential warriors in their land.
They wore a neat uniform with an emblem of their lineage. Their diplomatic relations appeared friendly, as none of them competed against the Prince that will soon ascend as their King—if the current King Leviath Simon Santos stepped down from his throne.
"If I may not sound rude, Young Highness," one of the dukes sitting at the right side cleared his throat. "Is it true that the Second Young Prince will soon be off to marriage?"
Leviathan only sighed and didn't want to reply to that question. He, too, was unsure of what risk they were taking. Leal was also there, scrolling the rolled map of their continent. The brownish sheets of paper with the legends of each area spread throughout the table Leal had to pin its corners since the map kept folding back. The duke on the left stood up and marked a cross on the territory of Maya Village and Ered Village using green ink. This means that they are safe against the Dark Magi.
"Phew. It is finally done."
"It may be done for you, but... I'm afraid I'll get busier," Leviathan grumbled as he held his resentment to Chief Eureka. 'That man...' He growled like a dog, ready to bite a squeaky mice.
"Your Highness, please calm down," Leal advised, a sweat forming on his cheek. He then checked the clipboard he was holding to cross out the finished task. What was to be done was the wedding ceremony between his son and Kaira. "Mmm... Should I write a letter?" Leal was already aware of what the Prince's answer would be. After all, he's been serving the royal family for two generations now.
"No, I'll write it," smiled Leviathan, who seemed to be forced to hide his true emotions.
"Ahaha, so it was indeed true," the duke that's facing Leviathan laughed while cleaning the map out of their sight. She's the only woman in the group, but she was neither uncomfortable nor inferior to the other dukes. "Marriage was the only reason why women lived tsk, says my stupid father yet, look who's leading the dukedom now!"
"Now that I've thought of it, Your Grace's mother was from the Humania Realm," commented the other duke. "Anyway, congratulations to the Second Young Prince!" he added. however, Leviathan was not feeling delight. He was somehow bothered and confused by the village chief. He was aware of the curse of the princess of Ered Village, and he was cautious enough to think about the safety of his son. In either case, one of them will crumble.
