CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
THE HUMANIA REALM

---*---

ETHERION REALM

-Tahomma Palace-
"Mother," Lee called through the doors while knocking. The Princess Consort Dahrleen smiled softly and replied with her tender voice, "Come, Lee."

Her son opened the door with his head only peeking in as he call for his mother in a gloomy tone, "Mother." His mother kept her soft smile for ease the worries of her son. However, he had a different mood unlike his usual self."I will leave this Realm for a business," he announced, hinting that he doesn't want to go.

Regardless of telling that matter to his mother, Dahrleen already knew about it, so whatever the decision Lee had in mind, she would be cheering him for it. Nevertheless, Lee's mood became more and more unpredictable, and even Dahrleen had a hard time dealing with him. She could only hide her concerned face, maintaining the calm composure she had always wore out. "I see."

Nod.

Usually, Lee will excitedly set off on a journey beyond their territory, but right now, Lee has no intention of doing so. And as a mother, she began to worry for her son's sudden behavior. 'Mmm, what should I do?'

Lee approached, wobbling like his soul had been sucked out of his body. Despite being worried, his actions made his mother chuckle quietly. She placed her knitting tools on her lap while trying to grab Lee's neck.

"My son, why is there sadness in you?" A rhetorical question came out of her as Lee felt like he must kneel down. He then, stared out the window at the blue scenery. "Is there something bothering you?" another question for his mother. Her hand patted his head, then brushed his hair behind his earlobe.

"I wish I knew," sighed Lee, gradually shifting his gaze to his mother. He still had furrowed brows and frowning lips.

Sigh.

Not knowing what to say next, Dahrleen only made a hum, pretending to think a solution. In the end, she could only ask his son about his own decision. "Then, what will you do?"

Lee placed his head low, feeling the knitting wool touch against his forehead. She patiently waited for her son's reply as the sound of silence accompanied them.

"... I think I need to stay away even if I don't want to."

Dahrleen only remained silent, but she responded with a nod to her son's decision. She lifted her work, tying the last thread. She cut it and hid the excess thread before presenting it to Lee—she made that scarf for him after all.

"When your brain and your heart collide, choose your heart but never forget to use your brain." was a hidden advice from her lips that waz planted in Lee's mind, making him think about it until he reached the portals of both worlds.

-Etherion Boundary-
He had his companions behind him as his support while his mind blankly wandered at the swirling light. The purpleness and the tints of white made his people feel dizzy and nauseous. They do wonder what's taking him so long to enter the other side.

"First Young Prince Lee Anton Santos of the Dark Guardians," a distorted voice called, echoing around. "Why do you hesitate?" it asked in a flat tone so guessing the expression behind the voices could be challenging.

His companions exchanged their glances, pointing each other to who will wake their Young Prince back to his senses. However, that was unnecessary.

"I do ask myself why." He responded, finally pushing himself into the swirls of the light. His hand passed through first before his head, then the rest of his body, exiting into a dull area of the said 'Humania Realm'.
