CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
TOGETHER

---*---
AHDOR REALM

-under a cave-
"This..." the scroll that was on King Leviath's hand was nearly crumpled if his consort didn't stopped put her hand to stop him. Side glancing at her slowly, he gave off an awkward smile, "I feel like you knew this all along."

Haiz.

Sighing while unfolding the scroll back in place, Antonia felt his stares that she turned her back, completely pouting her lips with a short whistle.

Whistle...

"I don't know what you're talking about," she folded her arms, slightly swaying her body, which made Leviath agape in disbelief.

Having Antonia facing the couple of intertwined dreams, she noticed an eerie atmosphere. "That's strange," she mumbled after having a terrible feeling of an arising suspicion.

"What's strange?" he walked forward as he carefully held the scroll under his armpit, slightly bending his upper body for his chin to be rested on Antonia's head.

Huh?

"Miri's energy died out in Etherion Realm," she gulped, looking at the high ceilings of the cave. "... But I can sense her energy here."

As surprised as her, Leviath couldn't utter a word. He placed his hand under his chin, thinking the possibility that drove the Young Imperium Scholar in Ahdor Realm.

Finger quivering, Antonia sat beside Dahrleen's leg then tapped it to calm her trembling limb. Her motherly eyes kept watching the two with the hopes that they can wake through the dreamworld.

Leviath silently looked at them, shifting his sight to the palm of his hand.

Clench.

"Where are you going at?" his brow was slightly raised. Even though he knew what Antonia meant in her sentence, he wanted Antonia to tell him that he was wrong at the part or he's stupid to have such thoughts.

Nod.

A simple nod with a silent hum was the response from his wife. Sadly, his fears were indeed true that his eyes squeezed close.

He could only chuckle lowly as mockery for himself. The Young Imperium Scholar whom he wanted to take as an in-law was no longer in the living realm. It must be a message for him to not to defy the fate of one's self. And before he was even born, his destiny was to be hailed as the 'strong' and protect his people. A long boring cycle of the monarch family. Yet, how can he be hailed as the strong when he barely survived the crashing feet of the Emperor?

"However," Antonia spoke as she wipe the building sweat on her son. Her simple word caught the attention of Leviath, hoping that the Young Imperium Scholar's life could be taken back. When her words began to form, the roof of the cave started to shake. Both of them was alarmed by this sudden situation but they had no time to panic.

Antonia casted a protective barrier for the four of them as the inside of the cave fell as debris. The thick dust took their chance to analyze the area that they stayed under the barrier for a while.

-a dream-
Meanwhile, Dahrleen stared at her husband with squinted eyes as she held her chin. Her thumb rubbed her jaw as she talked to herself. "How should I wake this sleeping beauty?"

Hmmm...

"If I am really under a dream then," she closed her eyes, even surprised that she could visualize objects inside a dream. "Can I imagine a giant hammer?"
