CHAPTER SIXTEEN
A HUNT---*---
ETHERION REALM
-Tahomma Kingdom-
"Greetings upon the Luna of the Tahomma Kingdom." Dahrleen placed her right hand on her chest as her left hand lifted a flit of her long, blue dress. In front of her was a crystal ball with an image of a middle-aged woman with naturally gray hair and eyes similar to hers. The woman looked very pleased at Dahrleen's posture. She had her cheek casually laid on her hand while being supported by an armrest. She even added a low 'Hmm', smiling faintly."U-Umm... Your Highness?" Dahrleen's limbs trembled while maintaining that posture. She felt numbness from her toes up to her arm. For sure, she knew that the Queen meant only to tease her because deep inside her cold aura, she had a soft side for adorable creatures—such as Dahrleen.
"Good, good," she fanned her hand while teasing her apprentice. "I have a new assignment for you."
As Dahrleen raised her head and had her body stand straight, her face showed a curious expression. Whatever the Queen of Tahomma has in mind will probably have a great impact on their kingdom.
"Humania Realm seemed to have advanced in the past century," the Queen lowly hummed, staring at something below her gaze. "However, their ways remained... foolish." She hesitated for a moment, knowing that her husband was half-human.
"Is there a problem in the Humania Realm?" Dahrleen started to worry about the Queen's statement. "Will conflict between Humans and Guardians arise again?"
The Queen shook her head, which made Dahrleen sighed in relief.
"My grandson Lee must have already had this information, thus I want you to advise him," the Queen paused with a low hum. Tapping the armrest with her finger.
'Lee? Then, there must be something wrong.' She flinched as a reaction after hearing her son's name.
"Moreover, monitor that Ered Princess. Ill fate lies beneath that princess."
However, if it's the Queen's orders, she's obliged to follow. "Understood, My Queen."
As their call ended, a knock on the door was created. Dahrleen sighed before attending her guest, realizing that her mentor, the Queen of Tahomma, was truly a terrifying person, from the pierce of her gaze to her icy voice. But everyone around Dahrleen could see the Queen's attitude to her. 'Like mentor, like apprentice' they say. When she opened the door, she saw Lee with a dark expression. His breath caught up one after another while he stared at his mother desperately.
"Lee? What happened?"
"Mother..." he nearly cried, coming to her arms.
"Oh my, come in." She closed the door. A tick of a sound was created as Dahrleen pushed the lock on the knob. Although she had an idea of what could happened, she tried to keep her mouth shut about it.
Meanwhile, this is the start of Leonard and Kaira's courtship period. Oh, and what about the dagger? While Lee hid in his mother's arms, Alexander handed the dagger to Kaira along with a note from Lee. It says:

'To Lady Kaira Gabby,
