44. Suicide ?

Anu (shouted): Papaaaaaa ..........

And she ran towards her papa who was hanging on the fan with a rope. She ran and tried to match his height but couldn't. She was breathing heavily. She went and took a stool and a knife. She stood up and cut the rope. She, with a lot of difficulty, made him lay on the ground. Her heart was beating so fast. She, with a heavy heart, placed her palm near his nose just to get the biggest shock. Her papa was no more. She cried out loud. But she didn't lose her hope. She wiped her tears and ran to Avu's home. She went and hastily knocked on the door. Nirmal opened the door.

Nirmal: kya hua beta? Tu dari huyi kyun hain?

Anu(hiccuping): Dadi ...woh ...papa....

Nirmal: shant hoja ....seedhe bata kya hua. .

Anu: Dadi...please aaap chaliye na ..please...

She said literally begging. Nirmal was confused with her behaviour but she called Avu fast and they all ran at her home. They got shocked when they saw Anu's pap laying down with a rope.

Anu: Dadi...please ...see na ...he is not waking up....please call the doctor please.

Avu without wasting any time called Sid and asked him to come to Anu's home. Sid, sensing the emergency in her voice, ran towards Anu's home with Ri. Till now other people had also arrived. Ladies were gossiping as always.
Sid with Ri came with a doctor. They got shocked looking at Anu. She was devastated. It was like her life turned upside down. Avu was consoling her. Till now all the villagers have arrived and just because he was a good friend and PA of Sid's dad so Sid's family also came. Doctor examined Anu's father.

Doctor sighed.

Doctor: Yeh nahi rahe..

That's when all got shocked. All were expecting this only. Anu was way more shocked. She sat still. All felt bad for her especially Avu. Of course she was her best friend and who doesn't feel sad when you see your best friend devastated. She was also crying. But here Anu wasn't showing any movement. Avu shook her.

Avu: Anu...tu thik hain? Anu kuch bol

Avu looked at Sid who was trying his best to control himself. Avu was shaking Anu but she wasn't showing any movement. Avu's dadi also shook her but no response. Avu again looked at Sid. Sid blinked his eyes and came forward. He went towards Anu and sat beside her. He didn't utter a word but just kept Anu's head on his chest carefully hugging her. At the moment, Anu broke down. She started crying her heart out hugging Sid. Sid was just caressing her back. Avu and Ri were also crying. Ri was beside Avu. He wanted to be with Anu but he couldn't. Tears rolled down his eyes. He hugged Avu's tummy and was crying. All 4 were crying and trying to console Anu.

And what do you all think these villagers were silent about this ? A big fat no. This was the best chance to humiliate Anu now. They were gossiping about Anu till now but when Sid hugged her they were all shocked. How can a boy do this and that too from the royal family? They were questioning Anu and Avu's character.

Lady1: Chiii kaisi ladki hain yeh? Pehle apni maa ko kha liye ab iske baap ne bhi aatmhatya kr li. Apshakuni ladki hain yeh.

Lady2: Ha na wahi toh. Aur dekho kaise kapde pehne hain? Sheher rehne kya gye humare bacche( Sid and Ri)  toh innko bhi waise hi bana Diya hain. Jara si bhi sharam nahi hain

Lady3: Sahi hain. Aur pata nahi Riyaz aur Siddharth ji pe kya Jadoo kiya hain dono ne. Yeh kaise gale lagaye huye Hain? Chiii dekhne mein bhi sharam aa rahi hain.

Lady4: ladki hi kalank hain ye.

This was heard by all. Kamladevi and Vibha were angry with Sid and Ri. Ram was calm but was devastated as his best friend left him. Nirmal was about to give an answer to the ladies but she thought it was not a time for that. Avu was crying when her eyes caught something. She saw the rope mark on Anu's father's neck. It was looking weird.

Avu's pov: Why I feel it's not suicide ? This mark of the rope should not be straight. How could it be if someone has tied it himself? It should be like a plain 45 degree line. And why is this rope so loose? If it was a suicide it should be tight na? Avu bol de isse pehle jyada der ho jaaye.

She wiped her tears and stood up going towards Anu.

Avu: Aap sab logon ke taane sunake ho gye hain toh mein kuch kehne chahti hoon.

All were giving disgusting looks to her. She rolled her eyes.

Avu: Anu yeh suicide nahi hain murder hain.

Everyone was shocked listening to her. Anu, Ri and Sid were looking at her only.

Nirmal: Avu beta...

Avu: Yes dadi yeh murder hain. Dekhiye AAP hi. Yeh rassi itni dhili kaisi hain? Anu ke papa ko agar suicide karni hi thi toh woh jorse baandh te na rassi ko apne gale se? Yeh rassi itni dhili hain ki isse koi mar hi nahi sakta. Dekhiye AAP hi Anu ke papa ka sir abhi bhi iss rassi se bahar AA sakta hain.

Sid left Anu and went towards her dad and pulled the rope out. Avu was correct. All were shocked.

Lady1: Kya kuch bhi bak Rahi hain yeh ladki?

Nirmal gave a sharp look to that lady and she shut her mouth.

Avu: Anu sun....humein aapke papa ka post mortem karna chahiye.

All the ladies got shocked.

Lady2: Matlab kya abhi sharir ko faadne ke liye bhejenge ?

All were gossiping. Sid and Ri were irritated. Anu was having a puzzled face. They were talking about her kalank and all only. She was puzzled if they were correct. Suddenly she stood up.
