Adam rushed over to the main campus "Exams today, dammit dammit, glad I studied up, but I cant get as much sleep cause I gotta make sure Syrus doesn't sneak over to the O.B. Dorm again, If I fail this exam I'm gonna kick that teal haired idiot's ass!" He yelled. Adam sat in class writing down answers on the exam papers ("I cant believe I was stressing, this is way too easy") he thought, he wrote down the last answered and looked over, seeing Jaden and Syrus asleep next to each other, and wore a small smile "I wish I could bottle and sell that idiot's confidence, I'd be richer than Kaiba" Adam whispered.
Adam maneuvered professionally through the massive flood of students rushing to the card shack, he knows what they're scrambling for, new rare cards, he didn't need any, he just wanted to see the students tear each other apart from a front row seat, the students banged desperately on a metal door, when a horde of guars stormed in and formed a pathway for a man in white to bring a briefcase of cards in "Come get em" he said, the students rushed in but found that the cards were gone "Where'd they go?" One asked "Yeah, I was here for entertainment!" Adam said "You know the rules, first come first served" the counter girl stated "And I was here first so I took them all" the hooded figure stated, the students complained but Adam simply huffed "These field tests better be fun" he hissed.
Later
Adam blew away his opponent's life points with his Meteor Black Comet Dragon, while laughing like a maniac "You don't know how much I wanted to blast something" Adam stated, he opponent huffed in anger and stormed off "Oh don't be mad, at least I made it quick" Adam said, followed by a laugh, the crowd murmured "Is he crazy?" "I don't know, but he sure is scary" "He's pretty sadistic too" "I feel bad for anyone that has to duel him" Alexis narrowed her eyes ("So much for trying to be less cruel") she thought.
"Im dueling Chazz?!" Jaden asked "Thats right, since you talk so big, I got you a proper challenge, I hope you got a lot if rare cards today" Crowler stated ("Something is up, I can tell") Adam thought "Alright, challenge accepted!" Jaden said "Of course" Adam replied, unamused "Duel!" Jaden and Chazz shouted. "I summon Elemental HERO Clayman! Remember him? Im sure you do" Jaden said "I'll shatter that overgrown rock,Meet Magical Mallet!" Chazz replied "What?" Adam whispered "What's that?" Jaden asked "A redo, I can reshuffle any cards I don't want back into my deck and draw the same amount" Chazz said, doing just that "A rare card, that fast?" Syrus asked "And powerful one, now Chazz can essentially choose the cards in his hand" Bastion stated.
"Wait just a minute, Im not done, because just drew another Magical Mallet, and I can use it again" Chazz stated, resetting his hand ("Don't get too cocky Chazz-hole, even if you do win I'll come down there and kick your ass again") Adam thought "Now, I summon V-Tiger Jet in attack mode" Chazz stated as his monster formed and roared "A-to-Z's? This isn't good" Adam said "What do you mean?" Syrus asked "That archetype is easy to play, that means Chazz-hole can get out powerful monsters with little struggle" Adam explained "Now I activate Frontline Base, letting me summon another level 4 monster, and I got just the one, W-Wing Catapult!" Chazz yelled as the monster flew in "Dammit..." Adam hissed "Now merge!" Chazz yelled.
V-Tiger Jet and W-Wing Catapult merged together forming a new monster "VW-Tiger Catapult!" Chazz yelled "Hold up, Im not done yet, he has a special ability" he continued "Thats not good" Jaden replied "Is his turn gonna end some time this century?" Syrus asked ("Welcome to the game Syrus, you don't get used to it") Adam thought "By sending a card to the graveyard, I can force one of your monster into attack mode!" Chazz stated as Clayman stood in attack mode "Now with this Heat-Seeker Blitz, your life points take a hit!" Chazz stated as the tiger catapult blew away Clayman and 1200 of Jaden's life points "I set one more facedown card and end my turn" Chazz said.
"Go ahead and finish, Im just getting started, Elemental HERO Sparkman in defense mode!" Jaden yelled, summoning his monster "Lets see you play out of this" Adam said "Now I throw down a facedown" Jaden stated "Not much he can do with Chazz's rare cards" Bastion replied "Ready for round two, Slifer Slime? Because X-Head Cannon is and thanks to Frontline Base, so is Z-Metal Tank!" Chazz stated "Dammit, I know what's next" Adam hissed "Now, Call of The Haunted, in cade you slept through that class too, I can bring a monster from my graveyard, Y-Dragon Head!" Chazz shouted "There it is!" Syrus said "Now I merge them all to create XYZ-Dragon Cannon!" Chazz stated "Two monsters like that out, don't let up Jaden" Adam said "But wait Jaden, there's more" Chazz stated.
Adam flinched "Are you kidding me? this bastard's still going" he growled "They say two is better than one, but I disagree, especially if the one in VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon!" Chazz yelled, as his monster merged into the huge monster "No way, it's as strong at Adam's dark dragoon" Syrus stated "Now say bye to your Sparkman" Chazz said, as Sparkman vanished "What?" Jaden asked "Dragon Catapult Cannon's effect removes one card from your field once per turn" Chazz stated "Jaden's out of monsters to protect him!" Bastion said "Now my Catapult Cannon will attack you directly" Chazz said "Not yet Chazz, I have a trap, A Hero Emerges" Jaden stated "What?" Chazz replied "Emerges, as in onto the field, now you choose a card from my hand and if it's a monster, I summon it, so go ahead, choose" Jaden taunted "Fine, far right" Chazz said "Yes, Elemental HERO Burstinatrix in defense mode" Jaden said "No you dont, when y Dragon Catapult Cannon attack I choose your monster's mode, and I choose attack, meaning you lose life points along with your monster" Chazz stated as the Catapult Cannon blew away Burstinatrix and 1800 of Jaden life points.
"What's wrong Jaden, test anxiety?" Chazz taunted "No way, this duel isn't over Chazz, it's just begun!" Jaden stated, drawing his card "Alright then, I summon Winged Kuriboh in defense mode" Jaden stated, the ladies in the crowd awwed at the small monster "Set a card facedown too, that's it" Jaden said "That's it?" Syrus and Adam asked in unison "If it was me down there I would have gotten out my comet dragon and blasted away that stupid mecha" Adam hissed "Done? Good, now I can cook the Kuriboh well done" Chazz stated "You don't scare me" Jaden replied "I don't have to, that's his job. Dragon Catapult Cannon, attack!" Chazz ordered "Now, I discard two cards and activate Transcendent Wings!" Jaden shouted, as the wings on the Kuriboh grew massive and blocked the attack "It cant be!" Chazz said "Oh it be, Transcendent Wings evolved Winged Kuriboh into a level 10 monster!" Jaden stated.
The crowd looked in disbelief "Not only that, but by sacrificing himself, Winged Kuriboh destroys all attack point monsters and deflects their attack back at you as damage, show him Kuriboh" Jaden said, as Dragon Catapult Cannon's attack was deflected, destroying it and dealing 3000 points of damage to Chazz "Lucky punk" Chazz growled "Luck? Nah I just have a soft spot for old ladies" Jaden replied "What?" Adam asked "That's too bad for you Chazz, with 1000 life points left and my turn up, I just need the right monster and you're toast" Jaden stated, drawing his card, and smirking "Elemental HERO Avion!" Jaden yelled as the monster appeared "Attack!" He ordered as the winged monster swooped in and swiped away the rest of Chazz's life points, winning Jaden the duel, the crowd cheered "There you go!!" Adam yelled "He did it" Syrus said.
"Well played Jaden, not in Duel Academy history has a Slifer dueled and Obelisk, not only that but you won, it is with great pride that I promote you to Ra Yellow, congratulations" Shepard stated, making the crowd cheer again, Adam chuckled and walked down to Jaden "You know, I worried for a second" he stated "Really? I didn't know it was possible for you to worry, Adam" Jaden said, Adam grinned "You came out on top once again, but just wait until I duel you, It will be over for you" Adam stated.
